I was experimenting with the sequencer in Pigments. It has some fun possibilities like random notes, triggers or velocity.
Ording is my latest album on bandcamp: martingoldmann.bandcamp.com/a...
The pad's scale is F mixolydian. When rehearsing with my guitar last night I played some notes in F min pentatonic which seemed to fit quite well. I reedited the notes and arranged them as pairs on the left and right channel.
Also some samples found their way into the patch as well as a quite annoying arpeggio. They give an interesting quite unsettling feeling,
A few more patchnotes:
The patch uses a sequencer with some randomness as well as some modulation.
Triggers and notes are randomized.
You can hear me playing some notes on my guitar. I improvised over the pad and rearranged the notes in two tracks, one panned to the left, the other to the right.
The arpeggio is just a simple wavetable with a bit of modulation in Pigments.
I don’t like that arpeggio. It is unnerving. And that is, why I wanted to keep that in the patch.
The percussive element are some samples I took with my iPhone from some pieces of wood hung on strings.
This high pitch scratching are my daughter and my wife playing on wine glasses filled with water.
The patch was recorded to my Tascam 424 and played back from cassette to my DAW. I added a bit of compression, EQ and a tiny bit of Valhalla Shimmer.
