Intelligence, Health, Psychiatric Disorders, etc., all play roles Hard Work’ is luck, in the sense that being physically capable of working hard depends on you NOT being wrecked by any genetically driven diseases. Being able to avoid getting wrecked by a genetically driven disease at a young age…is 100% luck. Whether you’re born with the genetics to have perfect health until the age of 70, or the genetics to get cancer at 16, is immensely important. It’s entirely a matter of luck.
