Everyone has a right to have standards/to be picky. The fact that you're in a chair, doesn't mean you have to settle, in my opinion 🤷🏾♀️

You're handsome, with a positive attitude and outlook on life, and have a wonderful & influential career ... you will make a great soul mate/husband! Thank you for being transparent. I just came across your video. My cousin was in a diving accident 4 years ago (July 2014), a quadriplegic (incomplete C5 & C6). His attitude is like yours, never give up and press on and enjoy life. I look forward to watching more videos. You're awesome!

Please make more videos.🤗💕 I suffer with severe widespread pain. I live with this invisible disability and it has been extremely difficult, but I have a hand full of people as my support system. Im not only tired of pain, but I'm tired of the stigma. It feels like no one understands. Anyway, enough of my complaints...I love your videos and your positive vibe! Sending you love from Cali💕

Have a lot of thoughts on this video all positive I really think you’re doing a good job of communicating how you feel I can only imagine how hard it is to get out there until the confidence and feel like because you’re in a wheelchair that it would be harder and that people treat you differently or think they can’t date you because of limitations for some reason you’re right it’s all about communication and I don’t think you should ever lower your standards for anybody I think you should keep them exactly where you want them to be because if you are your standards you’re not gonna get the person that’s for you you know and I understand you on the dating site it’s actually how I met my husband so don’t give up it worked out we’re now about to have a child were four years in our relationship you just never know stay strong and don’t let the negative people get to you always be positive and do what you feel is right!

Just remember, the wheelchair should not nor should you allow it to define you. You are not “that guy in the wheelchair, you know”, you’re “oh that guy, he’s a teacher, and he’s known for making videos on KZitem. And not that this matters, he happens to be in a wheelchair.” First and foremost, you’re human just like the rest of us. Secondly, it should not matter you being in a chair or not. If someone is going to love you, they should love the person, not what surrounds the person. Now, granite, it takes a lil extra to be with someone who needs a little help from time to time, but you seem very independent, and perhaps its cause you’re younger and as you’ve stated a bit fit prior to your situation, but through your videos its clear you strive for independence. Keep moving forward and before you know it…the right person will come into your life, I only hope when that happens you will see it and not let it go. And work at it just as the other person will have to do. Good luck to you and your future. I know it will happen, cause it did for my father. Also, check out ‘Roll with Cole & Charisma” he too is a quad and the two of them found love.

Don’t do that to yourself! I will pick for personality, honesty, sensitivity to my and other’s needs, love! 6 pack doesn’t equal good person. I can’t stand arrogance, dishonesty, meanness, etc. I love from the heart. You are handsome, so QUIT worrying about the chair!! You are awesome! I don’t look at person’s chair, etc. I look at their eyes and heart when I interact with a person! ❤️❤️🤗

Australian Capital Territory myself. But severe Traumatic Brain Injury, from a car accident, 38 years ago and 34 years, as a senior social worker. Like yourself, a colored man, capable, positive attitude. Did not have "high" standards. Being married for the last 28 years now. Never been happier in my life. Don't need don't have such high standards in any real person. Private living in a private life, is much more realistic.

I really don't understand why online dating is so difficult and doesn't yield better results. Presumably people are there because they would like to meet someone. Yet they are seemingly insincere and shallow so no connections are made. I have Spinocerebellar Ataxia. My cerebellum is atrophying. Its a progressive neurological disorder. The cerebellum controls balance and coordination. The symptoms of SCA are similar to those of a drunk person- slurred speech, swaying, stumbling, poor balance in general. I'm 42. Began showing symptoms at 35. I had just bought a house, working, cleaning the house, running errands. Just like everybody else. Now I can't go hiking like I did before, and I have a difficult time walking. I can understand how a potential partner wouldn't want to get involved for self-preservation, but life happens and developed or acquired disabilities do not discriminate. It can happen to anyone, so you might want to think about how you treat people.

Been there, done that. I feel ya but know, it is possible to meet someone online. If you don't mind me dropping suggestions: be patient, be open, be vulnerable. IT IS OK to be picky. A life partner is a big deal! We are complex. It takes time to meet someone you like. Keep at it. When you burn out, take a break. Maybe, join Meetups or clubs!

Marry a Christian that actually loves Jesus Christ that is a virgin so she knows only God and you (and not another man in a sexual way). Love should start in courtship, not in bed.

What the f@ck? First off who the hell are you to come on here telling him to marry a virgin? What if he isn't a virgin? Also What if he isn't christian? Do not tell others who they should marry it isn't your business. ugh. Were you a virgin when you married your virgin wife? Was your wife a virgin? how did you know? did you forcibly check? What if the girl was r@ped? would you tell him not to marry her cause technically she isn't a virgin anymore. See this is why you should keep your mouth shut, cause you know nothing.
