+SassyAssSocks Nice! The 240 is my favorite but my 280z was to cheap to care! We have a 240z we will be building new brake lines on and doing polyurathane bushings. We will probably do a more indepth poly bushing install this time.

Awesome thank you. As to other thing we would like to see I would say anything you are willing to film on the Z cars. I have a 77 280 I am bringing back from the dead and could use any information you have :). Thanks for making these videos!

Plus always adjust your rear shoes first then parking brake handle.

That is correct! I did not think to mention that because this Z had been converted to disk brakes by our shop.

+TheAlexAmazing123 Absolutely! Always here to help! Figured not to many people knew how easy it was to adjust the ebrake. A lot of time the cables just stretch with age and a simple adjustment is all that is needed.

I have a 280z think the heat shield blocks access to this. I looked under when I was working on the inner control arm bushings, and do not recall being able to see this adjustment.

maybe. I wasn't around when this car was built the first time so there is a chance that there is a heat shield there from the factory.

I think mine having a catatlytic converter maybe the reason too. has a lot of shielding all over the exhaust as well. I did get my borescope out and was able to see it, then knowing where to go I was able get to it but no real room to use tools. The good thing is I see no rust on the borescope view. I plan to replace the clutch and rear main (leaking) will have to remove that shield then so will be a good time to adj. It works but does not hold real well, seems to take a lot movement to fully hold.

ahhh so you must have a 280z if you have cats. Don't believe the 260z came with cats and know the 240 didn't. You will have to remove the exhaust then to adjust the cable. It would be easier any way. It was tricky with the 3" exhaust.

This isn't how to adjust. You need to pull the cotter pin out of the very front and turn the whole piece while holding the nut. Once you get it adjusted properly, you use the nut to tighten it up and keep it from moving.

I understand it may not be the "proper way to do it" however it does in fact adjust the tension. The nut was tightened back down after adjustment was made. The better way would be to remove the cotter pin and turn it I do agree. The pins can sometimes freeze in the socket and with the driveshaft still in can be difficult to remove.
