If you were closer I have an 85 2.2 and 5 speed plus a complete rear axle. Everything but the body. Everything else but how good the rest of the parts are is suspect as they sat outside. The engine and trans have been in the dry for at least 10 years. I live in Landrum South Carolina. Free. Free. Plus 8 wheels maybe a couple more. Free. It needs a new home. Terry Brelsford

Dang I wish I was closer, just having an extra 5 speed laying around would be nice lol. They're hard to come by. I appreciate the offer, if I happen to make it down that way anytime soon ill definitely let you know. Thank you

As long as it don't leak, no worries. Also, the shift fork to rail on those, is held by roll pins. If one shears, it won't go into gear, (ppl say things are "broke" or "blown" when can be a minor fix, Datsun was very basic, simple, tech.) Peace.

I wish they would bring back most the old cars everything today is all plastic and computers and they all look similar.

@@JoeySkidz Yeah, cookie cutter pieces of junk ran by computers. Trucks today are all four door station wagon trucks with wagon wheels and thin tires on them and you can't haul anything with them either.

A little progress is still progress. Since you have so many vehicles in the barn to work on, the truck could turn out to be a great vehicle for your parts runs.

That was my thought as well. Be really cool to drive around an old Datsun truck to do my part runs and what not. Lower it a little and basically leave it the way it looks

@@JoeySkidz Naw, NO, No please don't lower this little girl, them it'll look punched out. Leave it as it is, PLEASE! I hate this lowering stuff with ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on them, makes them look punched out.

I’m looking for a 620 right now as my first truck but they are all rusted or EXPENSIVE!

Justin Tegman you either get cheap and rusty or semi expensive and in good shape. I've seen some nice examples for 2-3k or you can find rusty non runners for like $500 like I did

I know it's a little late now. The middle seats out of a dodge caravan work really well in these small pickups, they are 48 inches wide perfect for your Datsun. I put one in my 76 Toyota and I like it, of course it requires a little fab work using part of your original seat frame and welding it to the van seat frame. I took me about 2 to 2.5 hours definitely worth it, cheap too

Thats a great idea! I've been looking on craigslist for old bench seats and stuff but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. Ill have to check the junkyard for some minivans. Thanks for the idea

@@JoeySkidz the third row seats in the bigger Cadillac Escalade, suburbans and excursions also have a 48inch rear seat (the small seat in the very back)and slot of times they are covered in leather and have built in seat belts. Good luck I look forward to your progress.

@@minidragger2254 Thanks for the heads up! Im definitely going to check the junkyard for one of the above. I can't imagine they're more than like $20 that'll be perfect for the budget build.

Thanks man! Its kind of hard to get into filming yourself and working on stuff. Takes up a lot of time when you could just be woking on something. Ill be tackling the floors soon. Any advice?

Joey Skidz honestly I bought some stamped floor pan replacement sections from Australia. Same frame mount bolt holes and everything. Seemed easier to mount than just a random sheet of metal and due to the stamped portions they are more rigid. Had a good buddy of mine weld them in by following the same spot weld areas as factory. Then used professional seam sealer over it all once it was welded in. Pretty straightforward and I'm sure there's several ways to go about it. Happy it's not a flintstone driver anymore, much more stable overall.

I think you can find the front section still or you can just about any flat piece. Im trying to find a rear section of floors so my seat doesn't end up falling through lol
