I'm white so it's not hitting me on a personal level but I swear Dave is one of the only artists these days who can convey a message that relates to so many people and I've been watching you for a while and I've never seen this much emotion from you Levi like even in your eyes while watching the vid... Dave's a legend for this one.

I’m white but that doesn’t mean this song hasn’t taught me a lot about issues like cultural appropriation, black stereotypes, and how black people are perceived in the media. This is an extremely powerful song that needs to be heard and understood amongst all ethnicities. I really enjoyed your analysis of the song.

You can tell Dave is more about the music than he is the money. He could easily put out songs every 2-3 weeks but instead he puts time in to perfecting every track, quality over quantity and it really pays off in terms of how respected and successful he is. Thats why he’s imo the best UK artist right now, a real one who’s going places. 👑

I'm late but I just discovered Dave as an artist, & this song, & not gonna lie, it brought me to tears. I'm 50 years old & I guess I didn't know, never realized just how much pain I had been carrying around, especially with current events here in the US. I could see the look on your face with certain lines & I FELT that, in my heart as well. Dave is now one of my favorite artists & I'm discovering UK/world music & I'm loving it. Thank you for sharing.

I discovered dave about 7 months ago. Do a deep dive on his music and life. From freestyles and mixtapes. To upbringing and family. The intelligence, moral standard, talent, credibility, loyalty, etc...is through the roof. And this from a youngman who didn't have his father. It's damn near unbelievable.

This can literally become sufficient material for a book. I love the fact that music can inform and provide food 4 thought. Sadly the likes of this will never make it mainstream because it might be deemed too controversial. Great reaction still.

It's already mainstream... Social media is an especially influential platform for outreach. Music like Dave's doesn't demand recognition from media conglomerates to start a contemplative discourse about these issues. This video is a testament to that.

Had to sub, i never watch reaction breakdowns.....but can I just say you are a fantastic teacher, you truly let us understand every aspect of the artist, art, visuals, lyrics production etc...thank you!!! I am female, white, Irish......personally it doesn't apply.....but damn it hit hard!!!! The fact this Is a 21yr old man gives me hope for my own children, for the future of this world ......this world is nuts&as we watch America burn over the murder of George Floyd it hits harder again....i was so proud to see Dave perform this on such a huge stage as the brits& adding the verse about jack merrett into it💖 again the history doesn't personally apply, but on whole I pray we have more youth like this, the worlds screwed up....on this tiny island I live in& at 30yrs old&female there are STILL areas of my own land I couldn't walk freely in if I wanted to because of my accent ...my religion. Thanks to the king crown & UK government our country has seen centuries of civil war....about time they're called out on a whole, commonwealth all that BS, they invaded lands&destroyed generations.....this shit has got to stop💔💔💔 this song has brought me to tears every time I play it.....all I can pray is my son is half the man this young man is&forever walks in truth no matter what others think of him!!!
