I saw this movie when it came out, 1979, I was 12, air conditioned matinee. I couldn't grasp the notion of true love, but I just felt something special about the movie, and this music was a perfect accompaniment to that experience. Wouldn;t have felt it without it. Grusin is a strangely underrated film composer.

I always loved this version of the song. The arrangement has a kind of Circus element to it and I love the romantic side. Mr. Grusin did a great job on this; but I also like Mr. Mancini's version also...

I like the honesty from Warren in this film. Even at the end, when he is now a new person and blows of coach. Such a great film and soundtrack, up there with other 70s sentimental greats like Arthur, California Suite and Tootsie.

love the music from HEAVEN CAN WAIT! Dave grusin is a great composer! (*I met warren beatty at LAX in late 1980s; was nice to me; irony is, he was boarding a flight which Faye Dunaway was on in first class; saw her first, she was with a man, and she dressed in like a man tuxedo with red carnation, only ones on the plane at the LAX gate, conversed with her, she was very nice to me, then when I departed, Beatty was ready to board, wearing sunglasses, and asked for a picture of him, a photo of he and I together, and for an autograph; he obliged).

Joe was such a premadonna. If he couldn't be a quarterback, he has to be an obscenely rich guy, and if he can't be a rich guy, he has to be a quarterback.

Before awardng Meryl Streep with an honorary palm , let's just think how wrong she was when she said that football is not an art After all she forgot that movies concerning football like HCW had been done and had been successful
