Dave LaRue is more famous for his work with The Dixie Dregs and The Steve Morse band, but also played with John Petrucci's solo band, Joe Satriani and Vinnie Moore. Matt and Gregg Bisonnette both played with Satriani on the album The Extremist.

A fun video to watch, though I get distracted any time I see an Ernie Ball Bongo bass due to their sheer ugliness. Oh well, to each his own . . . . So was the backing track saved on and played back through the Pandora? Also, I wonder how it sounds with a band in a live situation. I have an old Zoom multi effects peddle. The extraneous noise precludes me from using it live.

Hmmm I honestly think Dave LaRue is just slightly better than Steve Harris despite Harris being my inspiration to bass. I don't know.. Would anyone agree?
@tose917
5 жыл бұрын
Omar Al Nuaimi - I’m not too sure if that’s a good comparison, but I do think that he’s better than Billy Sheehan. Billy is great, don’t get me wrong but there’s something about his playing that makes me lose interest after a couple of songs, and it doesn’t matter who is he playing with. It sounds like if he has reached a plateau and then everything feels flat after that. And with Dave is the complete opposite, his playing feels richer very melodic.
