For me it's Wollerton old hall, I just adore its scent but I can't tell you why though. It actually doesn't remind me of anything in particular but it's super pleasant 😍

I learnt a lot from you today. One of my favourite roses is New Dawn and the smell always transports me back to my grandma's garden. Since attracting birds in my garden, I've noticed that I don't get so many aphids. Thanks for posting.

Really nice video. As you probably know, the David Austin roses are very popular here in the states. I’m new to roses this year but of course heard about the DA roses almost immediately. I live in Texas though where it’s very hot and humid, so I’m learning some of the DA roses don’t do well here. I started my rose adventure with 10 total, including three DA roses. Roald Dahl, Emily Bronte and Desdemona. Probably most nervous about Desdemona. Planted them almost a week ago and so far so good!

Hi, thanks so much for your kind comments! Wow 10 roses, you’re in for a treat!! :) you might want to check out the following page if you haven’t already which features the “best for health” roses, ie disease resistant. Roald Dahl is really healthy, I would love an Emily Bronte! I hope Desdemona works for you! Good luck and enjoy your roses!! www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/collections/disease-resistant-roses

@@triple999fruitful true. There are hundreds of varieties of roses probably thousands. And many do fine here in Texas with standard care. Particularly many of the the old garden roses. But the DA roses are a bit more tricky here. For obvious reasons. Doesn’t stop people from trying though! Ha! People love them.

The new rose Penelope lively is probably the strongest smelling DA rose I've seen and it combines three major scent groups-old rose, fruit and muhr at the back of it. Really delicious scent on that one. Dannahue is a replacement for Jude the obscure however Jude is actually smelling of tropical fruits while dannahue to me smells more like sweet rosé with a bit of fruit tinge to it.

Wow, that must smell AMAZING, I’m going to Hampton court flower show later in the year so will make it my mission to see that! I have 2x Dannahue that I just bought as bare routes, very exciting! Thanks!!

Really beautiful plant, I haven’t seen for a while though unfortunately . On more of a yellow theme here, but maybe my mum needs one! She has a lot of the pink DAs. Thanks!!

Hi, I can’t see a rose pictures at 2:25. Do you mean the one at 2:44 (the yellow one), that’s Compte de Champagne
