I remember this masterpiece vividly from about 1994, when David played in the Hermosa Beach Playhouse and introduced Kei to the audience. She then accompanied him on the flute. Less than a year or so later, first Kei, then David came to see me as patients for eyecare. What delightful people! Just as this song he's composed for her!

I cannot recall why, but this song absolutely reminds me of, and embodies the feeling of Thanksgiving.....a beautiful sunny but cold afternoon, the leaves having fallen on the ground. The peaceful feeling of entering a warm house to greet relatives for Thanksgiving....the late Fall. For all I know, I could have heard this on the department store radio system while shopping for Fall decorations one November....it doesn't matter. There is such a warm and lovely Autumn feeling to this beautiful song for me... Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, from Massachusetts.

One of my all time favorite songs! David Benoit is a master at the piano! Kei’s Song takes me back to the mid 1990s. I saw him live in here in Northern California around 2012. He’s a true showman in person, very humble.
