Wow! Did you know Geoff MacCormack and/or George Underwood as well? I've read that they were all at Burnt Ash Infants School together. They worked with him in the 70s (and also the 60s in George's case).

DAVID BOWIE WAS EXCELLENT! You can see this in the scenes shown. The actor playing Dr. TREVES IS ALSO QUITE GOOD.

Ah, I have a pristine Playbill and poster from The Elephant Man during Bowie's run! Lord, but that cost me some dosh. I'd trade either to have been old enough and in NYC to see him play the part. I was only 11 and in the Midwest at the time. 😐

I remember when this interview first aired on countdown. It was the first time I had seen him talk and Molly was in fine form of course.

What? Was there a time limit on this interview or something, or is the interviewer incapable of conversation? This is prewritten question followed by prewritten question followed by prewritten question. The best interviews of Bowie were the ones that allowed him room to be himself with all his humor and insight

I dunno why he tore the paper, I don't think the interviewer asked something stupid. That's kind of rude. I'm disapppointed with him.

He was being playful. The interviewer was glued to his notes and not really asking follow up questions so as a joke he took the paper away and ripped it.
