From an Outsider Art Fair discussion panel on February 27th, where David was one of the guest speakers. Other speakers were Jean Hanff Korelitz, Warren Zanes, and the talk was moderated by Carlo McCormick.
David misunderstood part of the subject, which resulted in him making a mini presentation as part of the talk. He presents questions on why do we create, why do we share (or don't share) our work, and questioning if we make art as a better way of understanding ourselves, or our place in the world. It was a wonderful bonus in my opinion, so I thought I’d share his presentation.
The clips are a combination of a livestream hosted by Outsider Art Fair, which I screen recorded, and an official upload provided by them (I'm sure you can tell which is which.) I edited them together along with putting his slides at the bottom, in order to give the best visual. Some of the slides weren't in the upload so I used what I could.
