When a person has their own 'signature sound' it's really cool when they can hold any note . . . that doesn't go flat . . . or completely sour.

I've been a fan of Talking Heads since at least 1980, but this is about my favourite song of all... and I'll admit that Until the End of the World is one of my all time favourite films.

this is one of the few songs ever written that still makes me shiver and feel a deep motion. talking heads were great from 77 to Naked and if he felt the road was over better they quit instead of floggin a dead horse for years like many bands do.

Agreed. A lot of people dont like the last two records at all. im not the biggest fan of true stories but its still good and Naked is actually highly underrated

Naked was a great album. I never understood why it's not so popular

it baffles me that he said 'from wim wenders movie' and did not mention the album 'naked'. it's weird.

@@spiritualcramp8000 It wasn't originally from the album, it was added in later editions. Originally it was for the movie.

minimalist music ~ this is a study of contrast to the 60's solo bands, and like DaDa. Byrne was NOT a complex musician. He was an essence musician ~ and understood the basic components of making a song. Such a unique way to convey music. Very much like the Rolling Stones, no lead guitarist. That is not what this music is about at all ~ miss Talking Heads, very much. David Byrne is such a wack ~ love it!

This song is awesome but it was never on the album "Naked." It would've made a HUGE difference a to how that album was received at the time. It was released later on the "Until the End of the World" soundtrack CD. I know -- I bought both albums at that time.
