Need more content from you my guy! Anyways, I had been waiting for this match ALL SEASON. Quincy Monday must be thinking he has a shot against O'Toole seeing as how he wrestled Carr tougher than O'Toole. I had started to think O'Toole had begun to separate from the others at 65. Carr showed that its more likely Carr and O'Toole ahead of the other savages at 165 slightly. Carr showed superior top technique in the Monday match too - what a hammer from the top Carr is!

I was at the Iowa State vs. Mizzou dual. I am a Mizzou fan. Keegan O'toole got dominated. Carr looked very strong. He controlled the match in each period and position. Keegan never looked confident. He appeared to be waiting for his opportunity to strike. Carr just went out there and took it. He was fast, strong, agile, clever, and ruthless. He looked how champions should look. Keegan looked uncertain. He was hesitant and timid at times. There wasn't the same fire I usually see in him. I think Keegan is usually much better than everyone he wrestles. So, he knows he can turn it on when he wants to come back and win, or do enough to drain the clock. But against Carr, none of that is possible. So, he was in unfamiliar waters. The Big 12 Championships will be interesting. Rocky looked pretty good. He did what he does. Collar tie to sweep single. He didn't gas out. Hopefully he continues to improve and becomes more of a monster. With his physical tools, he could be a national champ. He needs to be cruel out there. Based on what I have seen of him on and off the mat, he seems like a very nice and kind person. I have friends in some of his classes. They say he is a really nice guy who is very humble and respectful. I think that has the potential to hurt his success on the mat. The guy who consistently has the right kind of attitude is Brock Mauller. Brock looks, acts, and performs like someone who is willing to fight you to the death to win the match. He looks like a killer out there. He doesn't have any specific tangible advantages over anyone at his weight. He isn't especially strong, tall, agile, fast, or anything else. But he is tenacious. He is also mean. He looks like he expects to win everything. He expects to be better than everyone and he looks prepared to do anything to secure a victory. If you've ever seen the movie "A Clockwork Orange", Malcom McDowell played the main character, Alex. At the beginning of that movie, Alex is very cruel and sinister. He just goes around indiscriminately inflicting harm upon everyone. When Brock Mauller is on the mat, he looks similar to Malcom McDowell's portrayal of Alex. You can see Brock's bad intentions on his face. He doesn't hold anything back. If every guy on the Tigers had Brock's mentality, we'd win more matches. Brock doesn't like to give up an inch to anyone. I remember seeing him last year during his redshirt season, sitting with the team, I won't go into detail, but he looked hungry. I will just leave it at that. Brock isn't the most talented guy on the team, but his work ethic and mindset are elite. He wins matches he shouldn't win, simply because he won't give up and he doesn't believe his opponents should ever defeat him. You see it on his face and in his body language when he wins or loses. Johnson or Mauller could have won that match. But Mauller prevailed. I can guarantee you, Mauller is willing to wrestle a 20 minute match against everyone he faces, if that's what it would take to win. It's hard to beat a guy like that. Jacques, Surtin, and Allen Hart all looked good in this dual as well. Jacques might surprise some people at the NCAAs. I think Allen Hart could get a medal and Surtin, too. Surtin is a big 125 pounder. When he acts like a bully, he does very well. He is a showman. He rarely disappoints. Surtin takes opponents off their game when he goes out there and wrestles with a bit of arrogance. It really frustrates them. They start doing dumb things and getting out of position. They just want to show him up. This creates openings for Surtin. We need more of that cocksure attitude and bully mentality from him. Allen Hart looks like he is on a mission. His confidence and expectation to succeed are peaking at the right time. He might end up pretty high on the podium this March.

@@JoffreyL21 OK, if you say so. What year did you win your Olympic medal? How many national titles do you have? What about world championships? Pan-American championships? State titles? NCAA Div 1 titles? How many individual champions have you produced as a coach? How many world team titles have you produced as a coach? How many NCAA Div 1 team titles have you won as a coach? The answer to all of these questions : Zero. Who are you? Nobody. I sure wish some random kid on KZitem thought more of me. My whole self worth is based on what a 13 year old kid thinks. If you have won any world titles and you're concerning yourself with what people say on KZitem, you need to focus more on wrestling and stop listening to what random nobodies say on KZitem.
