watching this on the eve of what is the 6th yr. anniversary of his passing. how lucky we were to have him in our lifetime....the absolute best introduction to rock and roll ever, and completely underrated as an artist, sadly. he never escaped the "keith" thing, and i will never ever believe that he enjoyed playing p.f. music; he surely did a great job convincing many fans that he did love playing the songs...but remember, he was an actor, and needed to survive. regardless, he was a remarkable talent, as exhibited through solo releases and live shows like this one. he was completely unlike any other, and there will never ever be another david cassidy. how lucky we all were! oh, did i mention that he will always be the HOTTEST guy in music, EVERRRR?

i agree re singing pf songs, unfortunately he was singing them right up to just before his death, in the last few years they were the only songs he really had which was so sad, as hadnt written any new material although he had written some amazing songs but only ever did the old ones that the fans wanted right up to the end - such an under rated brilliantly talented man

I actually booked this show! David was a lovely guy - shockingly tiny..., I had to convince him to sign my PF board game though... I kind of cornered him and said 'well I am paying you later...' lol he laughed. We had a neat conversation about what it was like being on Bell records that I think he really enjoyed - talking about something different for once.... He wasn't into autographs or the star stuff, just wanted to play his music. I told him that when Redd Kross played I intro'ed them with Point Me in the direction of Albuquerque and they freaked out. That made him pretty happy. I don't know if this video shows but his crotch of his pants split open during one of the songs and he stuffed a towel in to finish the set. People Magazine called me the next day to see if there were photos of the wardrobe malfunction. We knew there were photos but we told them there weren't any. Parasites. He had to live with that crap every single fking day, RIP sir.

Hello. Can you expound on what you mean by “shockingly tiny”? Are you referring to his height? Or, the size of his waist? He definitely looks small waisted. Reports say he was about 5’8”, though. Which is just short of average, by an inch.

The record company went belly up right when David started this tour. David financed this tour himself and his single, " Lyin.to Myself" still managed to hit number 20 on The Billboard Top Forty. This was one very productive time for Cassidy that would eventually lead him to a comeback of epic proportions with residency in Las Vegas and a hugely successful Broadway Run with his brother Shaun.

I recently read his biographies too. Fascinated in the whole phenom of music, fandom, idols etc. I don’t think the teenyboppers were to blame. The powers that be in the managing, publishing world at the time should have thought a bout the impact it would have on this young, vulnerable human being at the centre of it. It just got totally out of control. It would blow anyones mind. Some of the things written as if from him at the time are really far out there, whipping the youngsters up into a frenzy at the time their hormones hit. Double whammy. If they ever saw him in person it was overwhelming.. No one could live up to that image and keep a sense of self balance. He did well to manage it as long as he did. Much respect!
