Mr. Dave, the man who pulled the Weissenborn guitar out of the dust bins of history and stole my heart. Goodbye, old friend.

Those rippling fingers. The damping control behind the steel slide. The falsetto doo wop. The signature clashing polyester prints. Those Florsheim shoes.

Another great example of David Lindley's talent. He sounds like four guys, and yet it is just him, his voice, his Weissenborn, and Bob Fuller's song. Rock on forever, David.

I will put here how much I enjoyed DL overall presence in this world. I will miss him to pieces and treasure first hearing him sing on Stay by JB...years later I wanted to just be him. I guess when we see these artists we wanna have a piece of them in your life. Kinda consumes but like everything it's all momentary and we have the memories of their gifts left behind. Bless the family and deep condolences.

Wow! What a lineup. Lindley has been under rated for EVER! Raitt is one of the premier slide players, and gotta love that piano!.

I enjoyed seeing David Lindley several times in concert, open for Joe Walsh, and small clubs in LA. Me and my girlfriend are in the photo of David Lindley and El Rayo X live. We’re in the front row.

I cannot fathom why anyone would say David Lindley "is under rated" since he the foremost in the field as a session artist and has played with the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt and as a solo artist. The term under rated does not apply here. David is rated extremely high!

In general terms "underrated" means someone that is not well known amongst the broad public. It is not the same as someone not being regarded as a good artist. Thus the term underrated applies here.

A "saz" is a long-neck lute from Asia Minor, which he does play. But this is a Weissenborn-style "Hawaiian" guitar.
