On 24 June 2006, actor David Soul spoke to ITN about the death of Starsky and Hutch producer Aaron Spelling. Soul discussed Spelling's character, the culture of making television during the Seventies, and why he originally didn't want to play the character of Kenneth Hutch. When told by the reporter that the blonde was the one "all the ladies liked", Soul responded by stating "I hate ladies," before criticising her for making a "shallow" comment.
David Soul has died aged 80. Best known for his role of Kenneth Richard "Hutch" Hutchinson in the 1970s classic cop show Starsky and Hutch, in the 1990s Soul moved to the UK, where he had a successful second career on the West End and UK television.
