Truly life saving tutorial for me. I had a doubt how you expose the shot , as slog looks like totally flat. How can we know the scene is properly exposed. Thanks in advance brother ❤❤❤

You should add "8-bit" to the title of this video, because there is such a lack of good videos on workarounds with 8-bit when I search "8-bit colorgrading", and this video did not show up in that search, only the previous sample shots video. Luckily you had posted a link to this video in the comment section 😊
@MehranHadad

You are right about the 8 bit color grading in the title! But I thought maybe not many people search color grading tutorials with that term! But Glad that you found my video! Thanks for watching and best wishes!

Yes why not! You can shoot in Slog2 with ITU709 Matrix Color mode and you would have a better chance in post processing!
@topegenius

Very nice approach but the only observation I have is that the LOOK (GRADE) is placed right above the SKINTONE in this node arrangement which in my humble opinion is technically inappropriate...the skin tone is supposed be above the LOOK perhaps in the form of layer node then blended together. That way, the look doesn't affect the skin tone. I stand to be corrected.
@MehranHadad
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. There are two approaches in color grading. one is parallel mixer and the other is layer mixer. depending on the look you want to create, you can decide whether to separate the skin tone from the grade or to include the skin tone with the grade. here I decided to keep both of them within the look. best wishes
