A couple things to sped up the workflow: - Set a "cut" button. When you press it it splices the clip so you'll never have to touch the blade tool again - you can delete the video/audio if you unchack the "linked selection" but it's probably easier to just download the music you want -you don't have to go into fusion, you can do it all in the edit tab with the inspector and transform
@PeeJ_ENT

I agree with everything except about going in the fusion tab, things are made much smoother in the fusion tab imo

tip: you can find the clip in the media tab on your hard drive, right click and select "scene cut detection" for the program to cut your video automatically (might need some adjustments here and there but its faster) and then import them into your media pool from there

But I'm passed the basic, color, and almost ready to pass the Fusion certification. 5" minutes in and I'm like "WTH, why don't I know these tricks, I've been using DR for 5 years". I was already a subscriber, but I need to check out more of your videos. GREAT STUFF! Oh and I always use Cut Scene Detection when importing. Not always 100% especially when the clip has fade transitions but the process allows you to fix that stuff easy.
