The scene where a female zombie is devouring human flesh and groaning as if she's loving every moment I find very chilling. Just imagine being a zombie and eating your own children still with a fragment of awareness of what you're doing, but incapable of stopping

This is probably my favorite end credits to a movie ever. I love how the happy old timey tune added to the horror and creepiness of the scene. Romero’s set the standard for how zombies behave, move about and the things that make them terrifying.

I know this is Monroeville mall, but it’s what Century III Mall looks like today. If you’re from Pittsburgh, then ya know what I mean.
It probably is a tie between this and day of the dead as still probably the best Zombie movies ever made...for different reasons, in one case its the sheer cleverness and satire...on the other its the sheer insane no-holds barred characters, action and amazing effects! But both done by the master George Romero! I always wish he had of had the chance to get involved in more successful projects beyond the realm of zombies...as he had a unique sort of eye and take on the world that I think could have easily done interesting action films a la Paul Verhoeven...if he would have had the budget...but I don't think we will see George R's like again for a while.

+Liam Funnyman The music is intended to be circus-esque. My understanding of it is that it sort of summarizes the entire movie: It turns the apocalypse into a circus. The semi-spoof of this movie, Shaun of the Dead, follows a similar theme, but with the horror themes replaced with comedy.
