I've been working on getting intimate with the snow on my heelside with the goal of being flat. I'll be recording on days that I dedicate to practicing. Here is day 1 through 4.
Day 1: On a Donek Knapton Twin. Mostly wanted to see what I looked like and make adjustments after watching myself. I wasn't sure what I was doing at all and just went for it. Felt quite awkward. Was on a true twin and my knees definitely suffered.
Day 2: Board is Rossignol Sushi. Decided to switch to posi posi stance going from +12 -12 duck stance to +21 +12 forward stance. Knees felt more comfortable. Tried reaching the snow on heelside at higher speeds. Wanted to work on transitioning. Noticed I was quite unstable and still felt really awkward but my ass was starting to get used to being on the ground.
Day 3: Switched boards again. On a Korua Dart + and decided to try even more aggressive angles +27 +18. The first clip, it definitely felt like I was reaching instead of being low. The second one, I was getting even more comfortable being on my ass.
Day 4: Stuck with the Dart +. I didn't mean to but I started grabbing the board and touching the snow. I started to feel comfortable! Sometimes, I'll touch the snow without thinking and thats an endgoal. Its starting to feel really fun grabbing heelside and toeside back to back.
