This time I went on a tour together with friends on the Jakarta - Bali route. We started from Tangerang with the aim of Kuta in Badung, Bali.
Because previously I have often passed the Pantura route, on this trip we decided to take the South route through Yogya. However, because the Banyumas route is being flooded, the Jakarta-Yogya route on the first day will pass Pantura to Batang and then cut to Temanggung then Magelang and Yogya.
The total trip from Jakarta to Bali is taken within 4 days with the following plan:
1. Day 1: Serpong-Yogyakarta (Via Bekasi, Cirebon, Tegal, Pekalongan, Batang, Temanggung, Magelang) +/- 585 KM
2. Day 2: Yogyakarta-Malang (Via Wonosari, Pacitan, Soge Beach, Trenggalek, Tulung Agung, Blitar, Kepanjen, Malang) +/- 360 KM
3. Day 3: Malang-Banyuwangi (Via Tumpang, Bromo-Tengger-Semeru Area, Lumajang, Jember, Tile, Banyuwangi) +/- 260 KM
4. Day 4: Banyuwangi-Kuta (Via Baluran National Park, Ketapang, Gilimanuk, Negara, Tabanan, Kuta) +/- 210 KM
On this tour I used a Vespa Primavera i-get 2020 motorbike and my friend used a Yamaha XSR. There are no modifications at all on this bike. Why do I use a Vespa? Just out of curiosity, actually, comfortable or not using a Vespa for long distances.
There is a KZitem viewer who suggests sharing the budget during the trip. This is what I remember:
1. Fill gasoline: For +/- 1,500 kilometers = 7x filling, total 380 thousand
2. Crossing: Ketapang - Gilimanuk = 28 thousand,
3. Hotel = More or less Yogya 650k, Malang 550k, Banyuwangi 550k, Kuta 300k
4. Lunch, break drinking and dinner an average of 150 thousand per day
5. Send a motorbike to Denpasar - Jakarta 1.2 million using Herona expedition in Denpasar
6. Denpasar - Jakarta 880 thousand
Some notes:
1. Directions along the island of Java-Bali, Lombok are very clear. The need to turn on the GPS can be minimized Battery can be more efficient :-)
2. Vespa fuel is a bit more wasteful than the CRF. You know the motor is automatic.
3. Even though it's a bit extravagant, I don't regret bringing a Vespa for this trip. These are the advantages of the Vespa that I got during this trip:
- Riding using the original Vespa is very relaxing. Just brake gas.
- The Vespa Primavera's brakes (which have ABS) are very grippy so that I am more confident entering corners.
- This Vespa already has a USB charger so I don't have to bother carrying around a power bank. Peace of mind :-)
- There is a trunk under the seat which makes it easy for me to put things that need to be removed quickly (raincoats or other small items)
3. Lodging: On the island of Java-Bali lodging is very easy to find. Prepare options according to your budget.
4. Hydration: No problem. Along the way, there are many stalls and Alfamart/Indomaret shops from Serpong to Kuta Bali.
5. Places to eat: Throughout Java to Lombok, there are many places to eat (any kind of budget).
6. Weather: During this ride, it rained almost every day. The first day it rained for a moment and drizzled throughout Magelang-Yogya. Second day: Heavy rain from Pacitan Regency to Sore beach. Third day: Heavy rain from Jember to Tile (Banyuwangi). Day 4: Light drizzle until Tabanan.
7. Prepare a rapid test letter to enter the port.
8. Purchase of Ferry tickets in Ketapang is already online.
9. Ferry in Ketapang operates 24 hours.
10. To book online entry to Baluran National Park, you can go here bit.ly/FormKunjunganTNBaluran
Riding Gears:
- Helmet: AGV K3 SV Joan
- Jacket: The North Face (TNF)
- Pants: Eiger going up the mountain :-)
- Shoes: Sketcher
- Cameras: Hero GoPro 8 Black + Samsung Note 20
Happy watching and I hope you like this touring video.
