Esther is one of the most important women mentioned in the Bible, maybe the most brave for sure. She looked death right in it's eyes. She was as brave as any solder, and God turned her terribal life into something good to save her people.

I am not sure I want to be a Catholic having spent my growing up in a Baptist church. Having that installed into me. But my grandmother was Catholic and I my mum went to a Catholic school. I think I always wished my grandfather had not changed mum to protestant after my grandmother died. He married a Catholic if he had kept mum in her Catholic upbringing we would still have been Catholic. I think. So part of me has always been interested in this higher church.

Today's readings are so so good. Queen Esther is one of a kind. Also good to know that God works in our weakness. Sometimes I think I'm weaker than the normal person, but if a queen can be weak, then it's okay that I am weak and that God is working through my weakness.

I am amazed, it is almost as if Father Mike was looking into my heart and saw what was written there. My faults, my brokenness, my weaknesses as he said. This bible in a year even though it is my second year, is still touching my heart and my soul. Thank you, Father Mike and all involved in bringing us this Bible in a Year podcast. October 15, 2023 Please pray with me. According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

I was born a weak girl, and decided to go up to the Himalaya. Everyone against me wanted to an engineer when I was a kid, and yet I became an engineer despite all obstacles. The still small voice of God leading us His ways in the world. Circumstance is like resistance training. God knew me before I was formed in the womb. Everything in life was predetermined by God. He predetermined our destiny before we were born. So I m called stubborn, and I disagree, I just don't like to let the world to define me. God is the boss. He has the last word. Jesus said He LL make all things new.

Towards the end of your commentary, you were talking about the king whose spirit was fierce and now having a gentle soul, thus taking Esther into his arms. I don't have that gentleness when I'm cut off in traffic. And if I spot a rosary hanging from the mirror, the spirit of gentleness changes my thoughts! Many are commenting on this from last year. Father mike I'd like to give you my testimony the Catholic church. I was not born in the church. I was a Baptist along with my parents and it bothered me. What my parents told me you can never lose yourselvation. Does it matter what you do. I was invited to a wedding in the Catholic church I liked it so much. I started taking the classes. To be baptized . How is age twenty two 1970 nine, how's baptized in the church? Add cosmetician and confirm. So I had sponsor Since I wasn't a baby when I was baptized. I choose as a sponsor by high school class. I didn't come around very much going to mass. What do you think I know How do you say I know? My sponsor ask me how come you were not at mass I didn't say too much I did not know it was a mortal's sin. Even though I had the classes I did not know what I believed . Part of the reason I didn't know what I believed I was in special education classes. I didn't understand a lot. I'm spelling very good because I have to use a microphone. After I came back to the church. I got married to another catholic. We got married in the Catholic church . Now a mage sixty seven I've been back fifteen months now. And I took the classes over again online I understand much more . I did not know that theEucharist Actually is blood and body. I thought it was a symbol. I was totally Wrong . I'm a practicing Practicing Catholic. Before I just called myself catholic. I go to mass every sunday and Holy day Of obligation. I go once a month to confession . tae of the Holy communion every sunday.
