DAY 94 - SHRINES & SUMOS (TOKYO) // 12.01.2016
Hello there travel lovers !
Today was another jam packed day full of activities.
We started the day in the district of Asakusa, which has many things to offer such as food, food and more food. Oh and the most famous Buddhist temple in Tokyo called Senso-ji. If you are looking for free things to do in the city then this is a perfect spot.
From here we walked across to the neighbouring district of Sumida. We were going to venture up to the Tokyo Sky Tree Tower but opted out due to the price. We can imagine that the view is spectacular from the top...but still looks good with our feet firmly on the ground too.
After craning our necks, we hopped onto a train to Ryogoku district. This area is known for Sumo wrestling but if you are not lucky enough to get tickets to a match, you can walk around the stadium and see a real life Sumo just trying to get home haha.
Once our obsession of Sumo's died down and all our energy was zapped, due to todays excitement; we then headed to Roppoingi Hills. Here you can find a bit of everything...restaurants, shops, karaoke and Tokyo Tower. To be honest, the distance to walk to the tower was too much for us after so many kilometres walked today; so Justina decided to play with it from afar. As you can see, this tower is considerably cheaper to get a view of the city.
Overall, another fantastic day in Tokyo. 3 more days in this city to show you guys, so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss a thing.
