Top News | After being destroyed in 2022, one arm of the Gokhale Bridge was reopened to the public on February 26. The bridge is a crucial connection between Andheri East and Andheri West and was built at a cost of Rs 90 crore. But the BMC neglected to correctly line the Gokhale bridge with the Barfiwala flyover during construction. Residents and local activists are unhappy with the BMC as a result of this. The two arms of the Barfiwala Flyover and the recently constructed Gokhale Bridge do not line up, despite the new bridge's east-west origin and descent locations staying the same. Consequently, drivers heading towards Juhu would need to use SV Road at Andheri Junction instead of the flyover.
