FYI Lettuce is a cool weather crop. Best planted in the spring and fall. Hot weather makes lettuce taste bitter. Thanks for sharing your raised garden beds with us.

I agree- I also have a toaster oven/air fryer, and feel that a drawer air fryer gets food more crispier.

Yes wait a few weeks and then try lettuce and spinach again! They’re a great fall/spring crop. I plant them in April and then pull them once they get tall like that (when it gets too hot in June) and then start again as soon as the nights get cooler.

Your tomatoes are getting the black bottoms because the lower leaves are touching the ground..just trim all lower leaves also that blossom end rot comes from a calcium deficiency in the tomato plants. Research shows that although blossom end rot is indeed a calcium issue, it typically results from inconsistent watering or having plants that are over-watered or under-watering. Also, cut the flowers off your lettuce or it will start tasting bitter 😀

You have blossom end rot. Water the base of tomatoes only. Thin out the plant. There are too many leaves abs not enough air flow. Possibly not enough nutrients in your soil especially calcium for the tomatoes. Your lettuces have bolted and gone to seed. You can grow lettuce in summer, you just need to grow the right variety. If you let your cucumbers get too big, they will be all seed and no flesh.

Those cucumbers need picked!!! Also pick off the rotten tomatoes from the vine. You don't want them spreading to the healthy ones and the plant will put more energy into growing the healthy tomatoes!!

My advise for cucumbers, pick them young, you wont get sick of them as quickly n seeds are smaller, make cucumber salad: 1c water, 1 c sugar, 1 c white vinegar n sliced onions, AMAZING😋😋

Another idea for the cucumbers is to make infused water 💧 like cucumber w/ mint or cucumber w/ lemon 🍋

Some of those things are ready to be picked. The Brussel sprouts on the stalk then you chop off the leaves and you pick off the Brussels.

Most varieties of lettuce and spinach don't like heat. They bolted and went to seed. You can plant a fall crop of them though. Just Google your growing zone and you'll find lots of ideas 🙂

Blossom end rot on the tomatoes. I read that it’s because of a lack of calcium. It happened to mine so I added a different fertilizer and clipped off the bad ones.

Lettuce tends to flower or bolt in the hot weather, which I think is what yours is doing. I am also drowning in cucumbers and could use some recipes. I had the same thing that is happening to your tomatoes happen to my bell peppers. I think it is called blossom end rot, but I haven't figured out what can be done to help fix it yet.

Your tomatoes are getting to much water or not enough.Dont leave the rotting tomatoes on the vine.Make sure they are not touching or sitting on each other turn them so the whole thing is getting air.Use a calcium fertilizer.I always enjoy your videos and my family are big farmers so I always enjoy watching people get interested in it.❤😊

Your garden beds sure look nice. I have wanted that air fryer for a year or so. The dogs are so cute. I like the pops of marigolds in the garden I knew your garden would be lush. The The plant is unable to take up the calcium in the soil due to too much or too little water.

Also your brussel sprouts are being chomped on by something. Guessing cabbage worms. You'll want to use BT on them or they'll destroy your whole crop. The first year is always the hardest! You're doing great 🙂

All of your lettuce and Brussel sprouts are bolting because of the heat ☹️ they are not supposed to grow straight up like that. most people plant greens in early spring or fall when the weather is cooler. Maybe you could try again then 😊

Overwatering tomatoes may cause splitting. Also advice I was given is to pick tomatoes from the vine before they turn red and let it sit in a bowl inside to ripen. Reasons I found on google: 1.fewer pest issues 2.less cracking and splitting and 3.reliable ripening
@karolinalegwant6899

Yes! And also taking off the extra shoots and not letting the plant itself grow too tall, that way it focuses on growing the tomatoes and not just growing up higher and higher
@jeansmith5668

I always pick mine when there is just a tinge of pink and then let them ripen the completely indoors. Great advice though!
