This is such an amazing interaction. As a nurse, I feel like relationship between medical and nursing teams is never encouraged and it's not really something very important. Speaking of bedside manner I had a doctor a few weeks ago walk into the room. I told him I was there for anxiety, I explained why (due to a severe past trauma) and he faced the computer the whole time. He re-prescribed me on an old anxiety med and walked out without even asking if it worked for me. I spent 3 minutes in the room with him. It was pretty rough trying to finally open up about this after 6 years and having the doctor brush me off.

I think every nurse and doctor should team up like this every once in a while. A lot of the time people get so caught up in their own point of view that they forget that other people might have different responsibilities than them. Pairing up like this is such a great way to build understanding and perspective. Really hope more doctors and nurses do this, seems like it would really benefit the work environment (and hopefully patient care)
