Thank you for making this video! I'm a former RN living in Northern NJ. Halfway through my career -in 1996-I was diagnosed with Systemic Sclerosis with Polymyositis Crossover. The SSc has caused severe intestinal motility issues in past 3 years. I spent last week in the hospital with partial bowel obstruction and was discharged W/O instructions for diet.Home now and seeking a WOC nurse to assist me with ccontrolling my incontinence problems.

Julie Hodgman aww I'm sorry you're having to go through all of that.. I'm sure it's not easy and especially being a nurse and having to be on the other side. I pray things get easier for you!

Richard Diaz I’ll definitely start doing some more of then! Wound care is fun! It’s cool to see the different types and all the different dressings that will heal! And it’s the best when you have a pretty big wound that you heal! Makes you feel good!!

I'm a treatment nurse too and I don't have a certain time to clock in either, but I kind of wish I did because I dont have the self discipline to make myself go in super early even though it's really helpful to go in early and get most of the treatments done before people get out of bed.

Makeup Therapy that's so awrsome! Treatment nurses! 💪🏼the schedule is nice! I'm back in the floor now because I'm pregnant and it's hard doing treatments while pregnant so I'm back on the floor until I deliver ❤️

I’m in nursing school and I usually only get to see the floor nurses like med-surg, ICU, even OB but not so much your specialty! This was super interesting and a different perspective on what wound care nursing is kind about 😊

Hi! I just stumbled across your video after looking up “wound care nurse tips” lol today is my 2nd day as a wound care nurse. Do you have any tips? It’s been a little stressful learning the whole computer system & doing wound care on bed bound patients & have pressure injuries on their back areas. Do you have any helpful tips!? ☺️

Hi!..I am in the process of specializing in Wound Care. What are type of certifications did you get to become one?

chelle brion that's so exciting!! I did the basic one through my job, we have a company where we have would doctors follow our patients and that company also does classes for certifications. It's definitely interesting and a fun job to do!! Especially to see the different types of wounds and their healing procces! I actually stopped doing wound care when I find out I was pregnant though but I might go back after baby is born!!

Melissa R. Hey! Not at all:) doing wound care I still was side by side with all my patients I just wasn't giving them their medications and stuff unless the nurse was busy! The facility I work at has a long term side and an acute care/rehabilitation side. I found out I was pregnant in February and have stopped doing wound care and went back to the floor and doing bedside nursing on the rehab side! I love both of positions🙂
