I'm in the second year of my PhD as a zoologist (and apparently coming closer each year to being referred to as an ecologist). At the moment, it's fieldwork season, so I'm out collecting data on UK mammals each week. I use camera traps and feeder systems with the hopes of collecting data from animals in forest / woodland habitats, such as red squirrels and pine martens. Come along with me on a typical day to find out what PhD life is like!
