Giving a realistic snapshot of what it is like to work in Private Equity. Comment below if you have questions (I won't miss it lol) Instagram: / evanwaang Email: evanwaang2020@gmail.com
Private equity sounds like a mechanism that extracts the most amount of value from a business, and transfers that wealth to the few general partners. Everyone loses - the business, the employees, the local consumers, the tax payers.... except for the general partners!

Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.

True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diversify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.

The people you’re claiming don’t benefit wouldn’t have benefited with or without the private equity buyout. The business was failing before private equity came in, they just more efficiently manage the end of the companies life. Most likely allowing most companies to work there longer than they would have been able to do before.

Hey Elvin, I personally don't want to be putting out an interview tip video because I find it kinda boring, but anything technical in Finance is usually the various approaches to valuation + accounting. Literally search up "How to make a DCF" or "What is the CAPM model" you will find all the answers you need. Also refer to the BIWS 400 questions.

I really enjoyed your video and I feel like your channel has potential but I have 3 questions if you don’t mind: 1. How much do private equity analyst usually make and can you improve on your role 2. How do you get hired, does your education matter? 3. Is rent expensive? It would be really helpful if I get answers because I also want to work into this kind of stuff
@economicsethan
Жыл бұрын
(1) $135k and above for Private Equity salaries. Yes you can improve your role and increase your salary to above $500k after several years of experience. (2) You can get hired with a solid Finance or Economics degree for a top university. Increasingly, banks are more open-minded to recruit university students outside of these types of degrees and outside of top universities. You need to go through rigorous interviews - I did 9 interviews to get my Goldman Sachs Job! (3) Rent in any major city with top finance firms will be very expensive e.g. New York or London. It's best to move in with flatmates. Let me know and I can help on future questions, I have 10 Years Experience in the Finance industry and my KZitem channel will have plenty of FREE advice to help you improve your CV, Cover Letters, LinkedIn Profile and provide Interview Practice. Stay tuned.

Analyst make around 120-150k usually, depends on your title. I know some people who can made a little more or less depending on location. Education and GPA matters a shit ton, you need some great internships or prior experience if you don’t go to a target school. Some places require a masters. And rent is New York is dummy expensive if you work at a firm there.
