As a Naga living in Nagaland I consider every Naga as my brother and sister irrespective of whichever state they are from .
@Lulougonz
3 ай бұрын
@therovingnaga4982 But, still, many Nagas of Nagaland State does not recognize Naga tribes living in Manipur, Assam, and elsewhere. They even ignored those tribes as Nagas. Naga frontal organizations of Nagaland should sit together with other Naga philanthropic organizations based in Myanmar, Manipur, Assam,& Arunachal and make a cohesive consensus and collective and comprehensive resolution on the issue. Recognized Naga tribes lists must be made publicly in order to bring about unity among the Naga tribes wherever they exists.
@Be-ui4os

@@Lulougonz Because Naga is not a race. It is just a group of tribes who used to live on hills. You can say each tribe is a race but the word Naga is just the name given to people living on hills in that area.
@Lulougonz
16 күн бұрын
@Be-ui4os It's not just a nomenclature to mean people living in the hill, lol. As a matter of fact, it has much to do with the identical culture, customary practices, and historical roots of these people. There are identified bloodlines and lineages amongst these people from one another. E,g, Angami, Chakhesang, Zeliangrong, Inpui, Sepoumaramth tribes, Rengma, Pochury, and even Tangkhuls, Lotha, and Sumi share common origin. These groups of people are known as the 'Tenyemia' family of the Nagas.
@Be-ui4os
16 күн бұрын
@@Lulougonz The proof of bloodline and lineage comes from dna test. I would love to see that if available for all tribes in north east. By the way, would you agree that Naga tribes head hunted each other much more than they ever did to "non-naga" community. If it was same bloodline and lineage, why would they do that?

That's literally us if we really did get independence from India back in the 1950's. If it was so you wouldn't be so lucky to witness this beautiful village, because we would be in the same state as Myanmar currently is, even worse, ethnic clashes every day. Lucky for us we came under the Indian govt and enjoying the freebies that they are offering. The moment we get our independence we will become the next Myanmar.
@sanman9441
Жыл бұрын
You have predicted the future of Nagas with 'IFs'. "Maybe" we would have been much better off since survival would have been the key. Due to the freebie mentality, we are stuck in our progression. Myanmar's issues are not only about ethnic clashes; they're also about the military fighting for power.
@Gggjjkgrfbjjjjhg1392
Жыл бұрын
@@sanman9441 Better off with just survival? That's just too narrow.. You see right after independence we started a progressive expansionist policy. If you really think survival was the key, the village depicted in this video would be Nagaland today. And yes by saying we will become the next Myanmar I meant we will would also most probably have something like a military coup. Don't you think so, with that many factions, will they just give all power to the civilians?

@@Gggjjkgrfbjjjjhg1392 "Survival": To build a nation, you need a survival strategy, which comes in the form of development. Every country has gone into survival mode when it is hit with an economic recession. No country has started with great wealth; you can take the example of many countries that started economic development only after the 1990s! Back then, we had a tiny fraction of the population, so to survive, we would take steps towards progressive growth! The villages you see today are because of demarcations drawn by the British! You cannot label yourself an expansionist when you want to unite your own. I don't believe we would have become the next Myanmar! Our Naga Club (NNC) was first a political organization! Our church was highly influenced by the Americans, so we would have headed towards democratic values! Now, with the freebie mentality, the many factions are because of this cause! Quote for you "You cannot judge the future when you have not seen the past"
