Dorman Products makes an "Anti-Slip Shield" for the tensioner pulley it also fits on the idler pulley. The Dorman part number is 82570 available at most parts stores for about $6-$8 . The shield comes with a replacement bolt which is slightly longer than the originals used to compensate for the thickness of the shield. To install loosen the tension on the belt then, unbolt the pulley discard the OEM bolt. Next insert the new bolt through the shield, through the pulley then tighten. Once in place flex the tensioner then slide the belt in place. I use the shield on both pulleys and the problem of the belt slipping off is eliminated.

I'm a little concerned about the recommendation to spin the engine backwards. The timing chain/belt tensioners (where applicable) were never designed to run backwards.
