I see so many channels on here now playing Days Gone, and it really just solidifies the fact that a sequel is needed, but sadly we’ll probably never see it. From Sony to the person who wrote the initial review of this game that doomed it from the start, shame on all of them. This is such a wonderful game. The effort Bend put into this game is nothing short of amazing.

I used to sit with my grandfather back in the day and he would tell me stories of growing up in the cold northern part of Wisconsin. His tales, as told in his calm, comforting voice, were endlessly fascinating and left me with some pleasant memories many, many years later. Similarly, relaxing with a drink in hand while Boris spins another Days Gone yarn fills me with a calm peace and puts a contented smile on my face every time, feeling that Life Is Good. He might say “Fuck” a tad more than my ol’ granddad, but he’s sure as hell just as memorable! Cheers, my friend, and thanks for the adventures!

Just to mention my experience with the Cascade rock climb to Lost Lake: -Make sure you have a full tank of gas before attempting the rock climb. I did not find the correct spot right away (Borislav's previous video did not show the water pool, that is extremely helpful), and before I knew it, I had run through most of my gas with the climb. I ended up having to walk the bike for the second half of the trip to Lost Lake, then I continued to walk it to Camp Pioneer and the tow truck for the gas can there. -Frequent autosaves after the initial rock climb near Copeland's camp are a good idea, since you can "fall through" the map if you do not follow the path that Borislav outlined. Had that happen to me several times. -The drop down the rocks into Lost Lake is deadly if you do not land correctly (with both wheels parallel to the ground), it took me a few tries to find the correct path. Since I was out of gas by that point (see above), I could not accelerate forward and I had to modify the path slightly. -Also, the rock climb into Iron Butte is a bit tricky. Make sure to follow Borislav's path exactly, or you will slide down the rocks. Hope that helps anyone having issues. I am breezing through a Hard II playthrough now (just entered Lost Lake officially, lol) with Borislav's method. I might try getting into the Crater Lake region the next time I play.

Brother, I just beat 100% of the hordes and last ambush camp, I wouldn’t have been able without your excellent tutorials. Your walkthroughs are the best I’ve seen in any game ever. I did a few on my own and got my butt handed to me more than a few times! I do appreciate your efforts! I’m a full blown horde hunter now, going to try what I’ve learned from you. I already found quite a few tricks. I was not able to control the bike when rock climbing until I noticed how you let Deacon’s superhuman legs walk the bike up nearly vertical rock faces. I’m using the mechanics of the armored humvees and using bike as a barrier. One thing you said about remote bombs I wholeheartedly disagree with though. I find them almost the most useful explosives. On PS4 I’m able to set them off in sequence I laid them down. I’m pretty sure you can too. So I can set one in their caves then in a line of their paths to me. I can blow each one up as they advance by tapping or blow them all up by holding the right button down a little longer. The recipe for crafting remote bombs is from items easier to acquire as well. The grind to find cans is brutal!!!

Firstly, thank you for the very kind words Steven, you are far too kind with your praise. And honestly mate, the only thing that really bugs me about remote bombs, is the lack of kills you get from them. I love the accuracy you can get from them, but they just don't suit my playstyle. Incredible! The end-game of this guide not only gives the best melee (with repair capability), but also one of the best horde weapons (RPD)! Personally, though I love the US556, I'd also buy the PPSH-41 as it's comparable and you get it permanently in your locker. Lastly, I'd purchase the top-level Lil' Stubby, an absolute beast from the bike with one-shot freaker & hunting kills to rack up more meat for rep/credits. Nothing more satisfying than rolling up on a Screamer & one-shotting her before she calls her groupies, lol. As always, a joy to watch you work, sir!

Thorough very thorough. You dah man! You actually can send survivors to Lost Lake, but you have to visit the camp first and then afterwards you can send them there. Not sure if you have to use the mechanic to tigger it, cause I used it for the gas, but maybe? Someone said somewhere that Canadian's call gas petrol. Maybe they do in eastern Canada but out west we say gas. Lol not sure why I felt the need to clarify that? This stuff is crazy now! I just spent the last two days doing my own over-powered run. I was having a ton of fun but I just now entered Lost Lake legitimately and some of the spark died. 😂😂😂 Otherwise I was busy taking out hordes in new and inventive ways with my crazy heavy guns! Such fun! I wouldn't have continued to play the game without your tutelage Boris so all the props to you Prof. Thank you sincerely. Two last things, you can drop into the Theilsen Pass if you go left instead of straight before you ride into the little valley before the southern area. You can also drop into Lost Lake just behind the Sawmill if you continue north just a bit more. Both drops are less harsh on the bike and Deke. Just wanted to share a little knowledge of my own. ☺

WHOA!!! I'm still working on getting to the south in my NG+ H2 playthrough (bad migraine put things on hold a while). Anyway, I stopped at Iron Mikes to explore, couldn't do anything except visit mechanic and use the Gun Locker, couldn't even sleep. Just like in the normal playthrough. This matters bc now: I'm at the ripper camp and just saved someone from freakers. Seeing as I did it _AFTER_ visiting Iron Mikes camp, it _did_ allow me to choose between sending him to Copeland's or Iron Mike's - seeing as those are the only two camps I've been inside so far. Fantastic info to have for future playthroughs/building trust before having access if this works in normal playthroughs too. I know you tried in this or the other video but that was _before_ you visited Iron Mike's camp so 🤷♂️ EDIT: After everything above I went down to Diamond Lake & Wizard Island camps as well before heading back up north and continuing the story/game as usual. To give an idea where I'm at in the story I just finished chasing the Nero Helo to the Twin Craters Horde/area & got the Radio left behind. On my way to Marion Forks to look for Lisa, on the way I found another survivor in need of rescue. The options it gave me were: Hot Springs, Copeland's or Iron Mike's I assume it didn't give me the option to send em to the Southern camps bc I'm up north...now that I think on it a second I'm pretty sure that's always the case - please correct me if I'm mistaken. Hopefully someone gets the opportunity to check and confirm whether or not this works via normal playthrough too. Don't see why it wouldn't but there are a lot of things I don't understand about this game, ie why a downed fence sometimes stops a horde in it's tracks 😂 so we'll just need to do it to know for certain

1:33:10 ish) I love taking this horde out repeatedly when start getting close on trust points. The best method I've found so far is parking the bike next to the humvee that has crates on one side of it. I park the bike on the opposite side of the crates, making that climbable portion inaccessible, then climb on the crates & walk onto the hood of the humvee, save. Couple gun shots, wait for the horde to start hitting the ground and rain bullets. Setting the bike up like that means they can't flank you so you only have to worry about the crate side. When they're all dead, collect ears, refill ammo if needed, climb back up, save & load file - take em out again. Rinse & repeat repeatedly 😁🤓

I just kept walking around the rock pressing the square (PS5) until he just leaps back up there. Whew! Also when ya come out of Diamond Lake camp to the right of the main entrance drive to those 3-4 burnt out buildings on your right and there's a gas (or petrol, if you prefer) can in there. Just info for those of you that hate wasting credits on buying gas in the early stages of the game. I have my fuel can locations just outside of every camp just for that purpose 😆🙃

Indeed Mark, or, might have something to do with the Wizard Island & Diamond Lake camps. Did you go to any of these before going after the hordes?. Just asking, as I feel this could be a factor. Until you have been to these camps for example, any hostages that you find will not be given the choice to go to any of these 2 camps until you have first visited them, so maybe the Rimview Ranch horde is locked until you visit one or both of these camps.

I've managed to get to Diamond Lake on Survivor 2 but are now wondering if I can take on any of the required hordes using the easy kill locations as on this difficulty everything is a bullet sponge - I'm scared of being stuck on a rock and out of ammo. Any advice? Well mate, in regards to the hordes, the easy kill locations are great, but if you do run out of ammo, you can always run away and simply restock, as there are a GREAT amount of police vehicles in the South to loot. Also, don't be afraid to use throwables (especially for the big hordes, Mt Bailey, Lobert & Rimview). Just take your time and enjoy the experience. The fact that you only have wolves to contend with (and no Breakers, screamers or Reachers) does make the jobs a bit easier.

Boris, what would be your best recommendation for getting a good (or at least decent) sniper rifle as early as possible? I'd love to get that BFG50 from Wizard Island...but I suspect there's not enough Trust points available until those missions actually open up. Thoughts?
@borislav247
20 күн бұрын
Well Tony, you are right on the money about the BFG. It's locked behind trust level 2 at Wizard Island, and there simply isn't enough things to do to get the trust to level 2 there (and I've tried, fell a few thousand short). The only early option is the M40 sniper rifle. Not a fantastic weapon, but with a suppressor on it, and some unlocked skills from the skill tree, it becomes a good option if you crave the use of a sniper rifle. Even in Lost Lake, the first decent sniper rifle is the C8, but it's also locked behind trust level 2 there, so simply can't be got early. In a nutshell Tony, a good sniper rifle simply isn't available early. Even the ambush camps in the south seem to be using M40's. But, if I find a camp (or an enemy anywhere else in the game) that uses a better sniper rifle, I will let you know mate.

@@borislav247 Thanks for such a complete answer. I appreciate your insights! On a related note, have you noticed any glitches in the Story after accessing these areas early? I used my new "OP Deacon" to start a new playthrough and found that the Story is broken in Lost Lake. (Specifically, the mission for Addy where you get the Liston knife from Sherman's camp is glitched. The case is already broken into and the knife is gone. So I'm unable to progress.) UPDATE: Just to let everyone know, this glitch was NOT related to the proces shown in the video. After doing the above process for a 2nd time on a new playthrough, the glitch I encountered no longer happened. So whatever caused my previous playthrough to glitch...it wasn't related to Borislav's instructions above at all. I'm now back in the Cascades as OP Deacon and it's fantastic. :)

Very good question David, and would have made perfect sense, as eventually, the Auto shotgun would be unlocked, and when this happens, the moment you use the Auto Shotgun, you would lose the US556 as it's not purchased or unlocked. I probably should have purchased it, just as a nice backup, but I always favour the US556 as it has better range and is far more accurate. The PPSH is a more powerful weapon though.
