I could never figure out why Harry was shaking his head at Phoenix when Cole was the meat in the sandwich. He was the only one who came out pointing straight and still going.
@donovanmurphy
6 жыл бұрын
My assumption is because they are in a turn and the fastest way to do that is go low on the track. That's why its best to pass on the inside. Cole was dumb to put himself in that position to be sandwiched, because the car at the top of the track is going to turn downward to make the curve. Cole gets lucky, but it damages the car and takes out 2 other drivers, including the "Dale Earnhardt" figure of the movie. So Harry is shaking his head at Cole's lack of experience and the trouble it's causing. Or you could take it as Rowdy, by taking the low line of the track, forces Cole into the middle, which is Rowdy still messing with Cole and causing him to have accidents. Just backfired on Rowdy. Either way, Cole is just lucky and showing lack of experience. He takes out the top car by accident, not intentionally.

Yea and it kills the opportunities for underfunded guys like me to ever get their due and even make it in. Like we can never go for wins because if we tear up the car we’re out of commission for months, the richer more well funded kids come in, win a lot, get signed and then leave and we’re still stuck in the mid pack. It’s unfair, but it’s just the way stock car racing is now, wish I was around back in the old days, maybe I’d have made it in.
