I would like to build 2 floorstanding speakers soon, which are very compact and each build 2 of the Dayton's as bass-midrange speakers, but I'm not sure whether they are suitable for it.
@BGTech1

Those drivers would work great for that. They are great for the price. They sell out quickly though. Just use a crossover and a tweeter. There are many great build guilds using those drivers on KZitem that would probably be helpful. If you want to spend a little more for better drivers, you could go with the Dayton audio ND-105 drivers. Hope this helps!

Nice video, thanks! I have Edifier R1280DB speakers which have the exact same size woofer, I wonder if changing them for these Dayton woofers will enhance the sound? What do you think? They both have 55Hz at the low end. These Dayton ones look nicer.

Thanks for watching. You could upgrade to Dayton speakers but there probably wouldn’t be much of a difference in terms of sound. The existing drivers and the Dayton ones are very similar.

This happens sometimes when you push the driver to its limit in free air. It doesn’t necessarily means it’s a bad or poor quality speaker.
