Worked at Family Bookstores, 1990-1996. Though saved in 1981, working there with 90s Pxtian music on the PA and books on the shelves got me up to speed on my new Christian life including DC Talk. Great times and worth it all at minimum wage in a mall. Name change to Family Christian Stores, later both mall I’d worked in and Family Bookstores no longer existed: but the knowledge 🎶🎶”our rock is greater than their rock” lives on in me. (Though Terry Livgren & Kansas made it big & I loved them, & was part of “their rock,” surprise! He got SAVED!) (Search “Testimony of Terry Livgren”)

DC talk was a very honest band. I think thats why they eventually separated because they didn't want business to ruin their friendship. I will always love and respect Tobey (and Kevin but Tobey was more vocal about it) for his fight against racism. They were my favorite boy band as a kid--they were so cool to me and my brothers loved them too. we had the posters, books, all their cds and concert videotapes. Embracing all races is my creed. As I read and study His Word, He came as the one spotless, sinless soul sacrifice FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM, even us petty Gentiles, as He says that if ANYONE BELIEVETH UPON HIM, they ARE SAVED. ANYONE. Yes, the Jews are God, THE FATHER'S, chosen people, but they turned their backs on Him. God is a Father of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and if you believe upon Him, IT DOES NOT MATTER what "religion" you are, as that is man made, then you are a part of His Bride that He is returning for. BELIEVE UPON HIM and you will be saved from eternal damnation! Thanks for all of your comments. Remember: the ONLY sin that can NOT BE FORGIVEN, is denying Him all the way to your earthly death.

As one who has adopted cross culturally, this song has special meaning to me. We get lots of stares....but it's ok. We adopt in part because we've been adopted (Ephesians 1), and our Loving Heavenly Adopter loves all shades of melatonin too

Kevin Max changed, he left that evangelical gimmick which was actually a good move but claiming to be anarchist and socialist worshiping a "universal Christ" while supporting left-wing causes sounds like moves toward ANTIChrist to me...

I run a chamber of commerce in a minority majority community. I started a Black owned business conference that was in opposition to the majority of my white board. I recognized that our diversity was the key to our community growing!! It was a HUGE success and those racist board members of mine all left my board!! Thank you for sharing truth long before it was popular!!!

The gentleman who was from South Africa, Mr. Mark Coetzee,. stated that he did not know why people always looked at the South African population as a dark color, not brown but of a darker shade somewhat closer to black. He feels that many of us look at things this way. My only response to him would be that each of us makes up a piece of the puzzle, whether red, yellow, black, white, brown, or any other color. Thank God He made us all different colors so we would be able to weather our specific living areas.. There are things like climate, land area such as the desert, or jungles, etc. which are very diverse areas, and the people who inhabit those areas need a darker pigmentation, as well as courser skin, God ultimately had His plans when He made the world and I thank Him for the time He took to make sure we were each able to adapt to our different habitat .May thanks be to God for the undying attention that He placed upon our world when He made it and us. Let thanks also be for the grace He shows each of us every second of every day. Peace to all who believe and also to the non believers. This is only my belief and I respect other's beliefs as well. We were not all put here to believe the same thing. That is what makes our world diverse.. I believe that there is a happy median that we each must personally respect and find. May God bless us all. Thanks be to God. Amen.

+David Tingwald The Bible actually says that there is only one race: the human race. There are different ethnicities, skin colors, and cultures, but only one race. Acts 17:6: all men and women come from one ancestor, Adam. That is the solution to racism: to recognize that we are all the same race to begin with.

+Marc A. I would disagree, based on the word blood as used in the Greek text. We are of one blood, seperate races, yet of one blood. After JCs birth, (death more particularly, opening the way up for all 'whosever would understand'. Hence no longer was Marys family bloodline (back to Adam and Eve), on both her moms lineage (Aaron, priesthood), her dads (David, kingship), brought back together at his birth, the only reason a particular bloodline was ever needed to be kept pure, for that one reason, alone. Do not add one period (jot) into a sentence when interpreting the ideas behind the words in that book. His death then opened the way unto all, with no religious tradition of man, of any kind, neccessary to be enlightened to JCs 'way' henceforth, period. If you exclude for reasons not according to JC ie skin color, races, you will have in deed done so unto your own self, now and on atonement day and in that sense, directly unto JC, even if/when following all JCs precepts in all other ways. Suffer the (all) children...! The ignoring of which, has penalties. From what I've read anyway. js.
