Thanks for the informative and instructional video. How do I find out what the original or factory value for CV29 is? I need to run all of my engines using address 03 at home (required by MRC Tech 6 2.0 controller), but would like to use a long address (cab #) for each of them when on our club layout. Should I program CV's 17 and 18 on each of engine to their respective long address (cab #) while addressing them with address 03 at home, and then when I get to the club layout program CV 29 to the correct value (probably also value=34 like you did) to use long addresses? Then before leaving the club layout, should I reset CV 29 on each engine to its original or factory value so I can address them using address 03 at home? I'd prefer not to reset them each time b/c I program other CV's to my liking such as horn type, individual sound element volume levels, acceleration rate, deceleration rate, etc. Thanks again for your video and help.

+Nick Legroux Hopefully! The others I made seem to have left a lot of questions - but im not sure I can get too much clearer. There was one small mistake I found in here that could have led to a problem, an experienced programmer will find it, but it shouldnt impact anyone else watching.

This used to work before I reset my controller back to factory. First hit program to page. Second hit locomotive key to where it gives you either add to or add four select what you want to put in 2or4 address. And third press CV-RW and that should program your new address. Then exit out. Like I said this used to work on mine before I did a factory reset. Now I can't do anything with it it just reads D ND.

You should do another video with locomotives with loksound. Can you do it? Is it possible?

Good video. Only question is - Are the wires from the DSC50 to the track from the "track" on the Program" outlets on the back?

Compared to that last video this video is a hundred percent better. The other video you're just going way too fast and couldn't see what you were pressing. Also if anybody can explain to me how to quit seeing the DND everytime I try to program an address would be very appreciate it.

I tried to put my locomotive’s cab number into the calculator like you did. My loco is the Duke Of Gloucester 71000. It said it was out of range!
