@@CG-zi5ku An ongoing and everlasting battle, I'd say. I'm realistic enough to see that. I did mention defending it, did I not? Any state, system or doctrine will inherently try and stand in it's way, even our own psyche can. But I'm not a cynic. Anything exists in a gradient. Speakers' Corner pales in comparison to the safety of the bed you share with your loved one, and to the freedom found amongst close friends. Outside that, it comes down to stadfastness and courage. As a public place SC far outweighs any other that I'm aware of in history. Do tell... Whatever you may think, I find it worth defending. What's the alternative?
@CG-zi5ku

@@mourlyvold7655 Speaker's Corner is nothing but a place were people congregate to have a conversation or arguement. It is certainly not a place that has special entitlements with regards to what can and cannot be said compared to any other public space in the UK. The problem with Speakers Corner now is that it has become a dangerous and intimidating place with acts of violence -both physical and verbal - occuring regularly. And bear in mind this is right in the heart of London and a tourist attraction. The cost of policing it must be very high, and now that someone has been brutally stabbed it will mean the chances of another stabbing happening again are high. It's just not worth keeping it going.
@mourlyvold7655

@@CG-zi5ku For starters, while waiting for an answer I slightly edited my first response to you. I thought it was fair to let you know. " nothing but a place were people congregate to have a conversation or arguement" I wouldn't call that "nothing but..." at all. I would call it an essential provision. It may not be exeptional in it's legal status but the culture that grew around that place organically made it into the forum any society needs. It's the people that made it into (what I called) a bastion, no one else. I do share your worries about the current unsafe atmosphere but even that, in my opinion, has a function. That of the canary in the coal mine. It lays bare developments in our societies (I'm from the Netherlands) that would otherwise smolder under the surface (and they do). I can't comment on costs of policing but I dare say there is a price to be payed for a society lacking in possibilities for public debate. You may not think it's worth it but I dread the alternative of giving up. Anyway, I'm starting to have too many thoughts to keep up with in writing. Peace.

All the video on YT seem to perfectly focus capture in the incident away from their own subject, seems a little strange. Anyone know the link to the clip of the video/camera that could have been captured from Hatuns gathering? If that makes sense.

@Holy Kafir So why is there a law for religious minorities to give Jiziya and to rule by their own, religious book in the Shari'a? Why are there so many different, Christian and other religious minorities in majority Muslim countries? Why are there so many old, antique churches and synagogues? You take a hadeeth out of context, because you don't know about our religion, except from your missionary letters. You don't even know your own religion! Or explain Luke 19:27 to me!

@One God One Christ he ran away due to the authorities being present. He didn't want to be arrested. Lol. Secondly she's not a woman, she's a dvl. She's been provoking Muslims for years in the most vile ways. She has literally asked for this to happen. She got what she wanted. If you insult a group of people every week for hours, for a year, somebody will snap! Stop crying about it you fool. Yes he shouldn't have stabbed her. But as a xtian you should be condemning her provocative behaviour all this time. But you won't. And as usual you xtians only look at the effect and not the cause.

@One God One Christ I am not anti xtianity, you xtians are anti Islam. By your logic, if xtians was truly a religion of "love" as you xtians claim then you wouldn't produce such hate filled people like Hatun Trash who spits vile, spiteful and venomous things to try and antagonise Muslims every weekend for years. You xtians seem to have a very short term memory. Your memory only goes as far back as the incident but you lot don't look at what has led to this. Hatun has been playing with fire and she finally got burned. She got what she wanted. A reaction. She only has herself to blame

@One God One Christ What are you talking about? You are diverting, I say xtianity cos the whole thing is too long to write. I am against YOUR notion of who Jesus was. The Muslims believe in Jesus as a messenger, a Prophet. Born without a father. The anointed one. WE have the true Jesus who we refer to us as Prophet Eesa, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. You have a pagan version of Jesus. The trinity is an idolatrous doctrine.
