This webinar took place on 27 April 2022.
DCED members participate in the Business Environment Working Group (BEWG) to review experience and develop good practice guidance on key aspects of business environment reform.
This webinar launched a 2022 research report published by the BEWG on Leveraging Private Sector Practices to Guide Green Business Environment Reform. It also presented the case study of Maersk. The report is based on an investigation into transformative private sector practices and how leading firms across industries have successfully integrated climate and sustainability into their business practices and models (‘green growth’). This cutting-edge research informs public policies and instruments to facilitate and enable decarbonisation journeys, curb harmful environmental impacts, promote green innovation and speed up investments in green growth.
Case Study - Maersk: Maersk is a Danish integrated shipping company based in Copenhagen. It is the largest container shipping line and vessel operator in the world. Maersk’s approach to climate action views reaching net-zero as critical to ensuring long-term business resilience and meeting customer and investor demands.
