Probably most of the smoothest Apache flight tutorials ive seen so far. Really good flying there👍

Thank you for taking the time to make this DCS World AH-64D attitude hold and bob-up box tutorial for us Eagle 7.

Very helpful vid. I was confused about the att. hover hold and how to use it for effect. Now I'm going off to practice!! Thanks Eagle for all your vids.

Thanks. Got to say I prefer the previous patch which held you stable enough (not perfect like now) but it was forgiving and let you move around without it disengaging. More useful for hover slides/turns and landing. I've reverted and am hoping they find a better balance in future.

Excellent tutorial, thanks! I noticed you were specific to do an OGE hover, and I had success with this as well. However, when I tried attitude hold in ground effect (I think), it got very squirrelly and I haven't puzzled out why the difference. Can you help?
The lag I believe is caused by OBS recording software sometime, I hate that it lags like that. I have an i9 3070 32 ram machine. As far as turning make sue you have trim disconnect aft on the trim hat and see if that will allow you to turn.

@@eagle7117 I have an i7 5820k @3.8Ghz with 32 GB too, and a GTX 1080 TI, so I have 3GB more GRAM, which can make a difference, but I also fly in VR and that is like pouring molasses in your gearbox. I notice sometimes, if I look in one direction for a while, if my POV then changes, DCS has to suddenly re-read and re-render everything, which was just out-of-sight, and suddenly FPS drops like a Catholics schoolgirl's panties on her first date. Sometimes it's very apparent--look to the side - FPS drops, look back - FPS drops, look to the other side - FPS drops--and sometimes it has very little effect--maybe because of the number of rendered objects, but I'm not sure. Ummm.... when I go in to a hover, I always force trim to get my stick in to a relaxed position--also because I have fairly large curves compensating from my old-man-stick-handling--so if I release all forced trim, suddenly I'm going to be spinning and pitching violently, with zero trimm. I always try using the pedals first, to see how she's going to act. Sometimes she's nice and comes about to a new facing nicely, and sometimes she kicks and bits. If she's kicking, I simply release the attitude hold and carefully rotate onto the new facing, and then reapply attitude hold, but it can be... trying at times. In my squadron, we've also notice that since the last update, the Apache--especially above about 80 nm/h--gets very twitchy, especially she wants tor role on her back for a belly rub. Sometimes you just can't get her trimmed just right and when you start forced trimm attitude, she hangs in an oscillation. It doesn't get worse, like on some aircraft, but the nose just roles around along the flight-path axis and makes the CPG airsick lol.
