I used to work for a maintainance company that maintained a fleet of 3 Twin Otters. Great experience! 😃

I was wondering when someone would pull out the GPU cable... LOL. I worked on these in the North of Ontario for several years as a maintenance engineer, and eventually was persuaded to join the team at DeHavilland Canada, and actually contribute to building these masterpieces of aviation technology. The best years of my professional life were spent on the Twin Otter line. There is no better aircraft for accessing remote locations.

The whole fleet of otters I flew were all 4 blade, apparently quieter but not as good with performance

Very rare to see a Twin Otter with 4 blade props. I've only ever seen them on Vistaliners.

That was the first thing I check when it turned to see if it had the larger windows of the VistaLiner.

You should send some recordings to Aerosoft. They need a proper Twotter sound :D PS: Awesome...nuff said

Radials are romantic....you need to prime them ...stroke them...let them warm up...while listening to their music.... to quote Buffalo Joe." Turbins take mass quantities of fuel and turn it into smoke and noise".
