Nice bass tones, I haven't listened to this on any Hi-Fi Speakers or headphones yet, but very nice groovy tone. Very reminiscent of phrasing played occasionally by Rocco Prestia or that from Incognito, or perhaps Nick when he was playing for Jamiroquai. Did you play this on bass, or synth? (or is it completely arranged via Software?), regardless it is very impressive. I am a bassist for reference. I wanted to say thanks for your suggestions and contributions to the music scene. Keeping Steely Dan alive. Alive in America huh.

Thanks, Jeff! 2 great bands and players you mentioned there, I played it on a short scale ‘Ray with flats, a bit of sponge stuffed under the strings at the bridge. It was the closest bass to a Joe Dart without having to be on a long waiting list!

@@JiveMiguel What an interesting setup, I'd never considered that pairing of Flats on a Ray! The foam for muting is a favourite of mine, such a simple effective tone modifier. Thanks once again.

Bernard Edwards played a Ray with flats, as does Joe Dart 👍

No not for me. The beats just don’t jive with the feel of the original.
