In this video I am testing the sound (Volume & Tone) of my Dead Air Mask HD on my new 3" barrel Silencer Shop Exclusive Ruger MK-IV 22/45 called the "SSH", which stands for Silencer Shop Host, because with the shorter barrel, it was designed to be used suppressed. It's chambered in .22LR, and I'm using CCI Standard Velocity (1070 FPS) ammo. It features a 3" long bull barrel that is a true 1" in diameter to match up with most rimfire cans for a sleek and smooth look. Since this video, I have installed a set of VZ Operator-II G10 grips, an Apex Tactical Competition trigger, and a Holosun HS507C-X2 red dot on top. I really like this pistol. I have it sighted in at 50 yards, shooting 5" challenge tree gongs.
The Ruger MK-IV series have been proven over the decades just how reliable and accurate a rimfire pistol can be. It's also super quick to disassemble (field-strip) and clean, which is nice when running suppressed, since it gets your guns dirtier much faster than shooting unsuppressed. It will be great for carrying around the properly for taking care of snakes and unwanted varmints.
It's hollywood quiet. As you hear in the video, the cases hitting the rifles and scopes next to it are louder than the gun.
I get all of my Suppressors, Tax Stamps, and Trusts through Silencer Shop.
