In this video I am testing the sound (Volume & Tone) differences of my Dead Air Sandman-S suppressor against my brand new Dead Air Nomad-LT (all titanium) suppressor. I'm shooting it on my custom built 14.5" 5.56 NATO rifle using some Tula 55gr. supersonic ammo. I'm not necessarily aiming to hit the gong @ 200 yards, but a few shots do. I also alternate some, on purpose, to hear the dirt impact vs. the gong plate sound so you can hear just how quiet they are.
One BIG thing to note, is that (in person) the Sandman-S is noticeably louder than the Nomad-LT. The Nomad-LT is so incredibly quiet, that it is absolutely hearing safe, in my opinion. Opinions on this subject will vary, so, follow your own intuition as to whether or not to wear hearing protection when shooting suppressed.
In the future (Fall, Winter, Spring when it's not 90º+ outside) I will get some open-air sound videos so it cuts down on the echo of being inside an enclosed area, and sounds more realistic to what you will hear outdoors and while hunting.
I get all of my Suppressors, Tax Stamps, and Trusts through Silencer Shop.
