- Yes, I have to touch the ground during his phase change halfway through the fight. I immediately get off the ground though, so it doesn't really count.
- Unlike almost all weapons, Nail doesn't let you buffer attacks meaning you just have to keep pressing attack with good timing if you want to keep pogoing on a target. Just spamming attack will cause you to fall off pretty easily.
- Telluric Shock can be cancelled with a roll (or an Assault boost) to essentially act as a third jump, which comes in handy a ton of times throughout this fight thanks to the distance you can get.
- Yes, you can pogo on lava and boss doors. This applies to spikes, too.
