The background of Ryan Reynolds and the Deadpool movies goes back to the first one where he had to fight for the movie to be made, footage got leaked, there was uproar from fans on the internet and the studio released $58million as a budget expecting it to fail and then it made over $700million and suddenly SONY had one of their hottest franchises... I was worried when Marvel/Disney took over but fortunately, Reynolds had a lot of say regarding creative decisions and it shows that it still maintained the spirit of the previous Deadpool movies and the comics 💯

HE WAS.Tatum really made a GREAT Gambit FINALLY on screen. Its so funny I never realized there was such an horde of Tatum haters that would critize him LITERALLY FOR EVERYTHING he has done right for the character. Finally a comic book accurate Gambit that doesnt look like "CHILD Robin". Gambit in comics is a ripped guy with a superhuman agility thanks to his powers. Also he is a highly proficient fighter. Also, he uses a thick cajun accent even in comics. And he uses the trench coat since before meeting the xmen. Tatum HIT ALL THE CHECKS on those, and some people cant stand it 😂. They have totally forgotten the other TERRIBLE WRITTEN guy for like 10 years. Because he was that bad. And now because of the "trend" on hating Tatum, people critize THE BEST THING HE DID "THE CAJUN ACCENT" and ist stupid because they FALSELY think THE JOKE in the movie is becaise "is bad🤪🤪", AND "NO" BECAUSE A HEAVY ACCURATE CAJUN ACCENT ID IN FACT HARD TO UNDERSTAND. People who know NOTHING about the character have the audacity to critize the good portrayal and thats BONKERS.

Unfortunately, the entire West has gone insane in their movies, TV shows, music, out of control crime, drug addiction, and mass immigration. I've admired the West all my life. Now, it's like the entire West has woke insanity. The best movies of all time will always be from Hollywood. eg. LOTR, Braveheart, Gladiator. But that's all over now. It's all woke insanity from here on out. So done with it. I no longer consume any Western pop culture post 2017. No longer angry. I've simply moved on. @sigmacademy

That, but it also makes any Earth-based/Cosmic-based character and their journey pointless. When you have infinite possibilities, then the journey, personal stakes, interactions and obstacles of a single character doesn't matter anymore. In an infinite universe, Cap jumping on top of a grenade to prove his selflessness doesn't matter; Black Widow sacrificing her life so her best friend's family could have a father come home back to them has no meaning; the Hulk finding a way to control his inner anger has no real impact; the combined superhero community and Avengers facing Thanos carries no weight, etc. You have to place some kind of "limiting factor" on such an universe breaking option, otherwise it completely breaks the universe in every possible way.

Nah, it's desperation. It's never good when someone moves on, intentionally, and then gets lured back by money. I really doubt RDJ wants to do this--he's just being conned back into it. Think of it like Michael Jordan's ill-fated return to the NBA.

Saw this on TikTok. Lady said this is the Tony Variant that went Dr Doom. He comes into the MCU timeline and says I'm here to help as my timeline is fixed. He then says he needs to bring back the OG heroes. Instead of the ones we expect it's the "Evil" versions of them Evil Cap, Evil Thor, Evil Black Widow, Etc. Then it turns into Spidey, Deadpool, Wolverine, Bucky and others to step up and fight them. I loved this idea and stated that if you want to prove this isn't the good guy Tony we all know. Tony calls a press conference with the new Avengers. It's revealed that all the bad in the world that was happening was due to them, Iron Man by Black Sabbath plays. The part where Iron Man takes revenge. Then Happy tries to stop the press conference and Tony in his new Doomsday armor blasts a hole through Happys' chest. This sets up the fact that Tony is truly evil and the big bad for Doomsday.

I made the mistake of watching the previous Deadpool movies and Logan before watching this. This was the worst of the bunch so I couldn't get the hype. Yeah, the cameos were great and the comedy landed (at times) but it lacked a real story. It lacked the emotional depth that juxtaposed the comedy perfectly, heightening them both. Have we gotten so accustomed to bad storytelling that we think mediocre movies are great? I found the comedy very repetitive and after a few laughs, I just couldn't anymore. Like Gary said, if they'd taken another year, edited and rewritten bits, the script would've been so much better! It's a shame it's not about the art anymore. At least it wasn't woke garbage and rather a pretty fun film to watch with friends, drinking beers and eating pizza!

After watching Deadpool and Wolverine, then rewatched Deadpool 2, I am convinced 2 has a better written story. Nostalgia and cameos are what sold the Deadpool movie currently in theaters. It’s entertaining and free of the woke crap Disney likes. But the story is just mediocre.

Doctor Doom should be a composite like Darth Vader -- an imposing actor inside the armor and a great Shakespearean actor to do the voice. He would be the only Marvel character who doesn't constantly take off his mask...
@sigmacademy
2 ай бұрын
Perhaps, but I'd counter that with they need to find a good balance of what the character will actually be, as the Doctor Doom character has been portrayed as everything from a major villain to a just a ruler trying to keep his country safe from a world that is increasingly trying to exploit his people. Then, they would need to find a personality for the actor that fits 100% into ANY of the Doom versions. Plus, they need an actor good enough to pull ALL of that off.
