If you get a baby "a kit" they might nip you. But they usually outgrow it and if you're good at not allowing them to do so, they're harmless. My two only bite me (like in the video) when we play and it doesn't hurt. :)

Ferrets and weasels are mammals and by default, all mammals are vertebrates. Ferrets and weasels are built with longer spines and are good shock absorbers, cats also have shock absorbent spines, which is for the most part where the myth "All cats land on their feet" come from. The don't always physically land on their feet, but they almost always get back up. I get this was a joke comment, sorry to ruin your fun by throwing my science at you lmao.

@T3R3Z1PYROP3FY34H

I'm sure they don't mind sliding as long as they're used to it and it's executed safely. 'Dooking' is an actual term for ferrets for the sound they make (when Ruby was squaking the way he was) usually when they are happy, excited, or exploring, and he did it a lot so he must really love sliding/his owner.

Ferrets cannot eat that! They cannot digest any plant matter or carbohydrates. They are obligate carnivores and ONLY eat meat and do not have the ability to digest foods that are not meat which will result in a bowel obstruction and death! You’re an awesome ferret momma. I love hearing them exited like this. Both are beautiful, glad they’re Well taken care of. I only wish that there were more breeding options in the United States because I started out with three ferrets and now only have two because unfortunately they are cancer prone And there is no way to know whether or not they will become ill-especially before their time since there is no variation in their gene pool. Humans can be so selfish and dumb at times. Anyways, Thanks for the video!

I take my ferret every single night for a 4-6 block leash walk. I have no choice now. If I don't take him for a leash walk, he'll tear my house apart. He first starts with taking books out of my bookcase, then into the kitchen cupboards, and he looks at me and all but says: Dad! If you don't take me for a walk tonight, you'll have a big mess to clean up!
@behnnie

@TheBoofdog They make great pets, and the hunting instinct is almost entirely bred out of them at this point. Ferrets you can buy as pets are descendants of the European polecat and have been domesticated for hundreds and hundreds of years. If you faced most pet ferrets with an animal it could theoretically kill and eat it would be more likely to run from it or try to play with it than hunt it. :)
@TheMoodyF
11 жыл бұрын
As far as I'm concerned, yes, they are. Just like any animal, including cats and dogs, some ferrets might be more aggressive than others. I'm sure you've heard of instances of dogs killing people, right? And yet, the vast majority of dogs don't do that. Likewise, the vast majority of pet ferrets do not bite aggressively.
@ZombieBrainsDev

Ferrets themselves only have a slight musky odor that is only noticeable if you don't wash they're cage furniture ( hammocks, play tunnels and such). They're waste is what stinks but this can be remedied by frequent litter changes. They also make tonics to put in ferrets water to eliminate waste odor now as well.
@Ticketer_
12 жыл бұрын
@BubblegumTT common misconception. Ferrets do NOT stink at all - IF they are descanted and neutered. - most in the US are because they are usually from Marshalls ferret farm. What stinks is their excrement. If you don't clean up their poop, your cage is going to stink bad. My ferrets actually smell good. :)

@16Nire61
13 жыл бұрын
@crazylyds1 The "why" of it wouldn't matter. They learn that biting wires = mouth burning, and that's good enough for most animals. Likewise, the word "no" in and of itself has no meaning until an animal has been taught to associate the sound with "something I shouldn't be doing," which can require patience on the part of the owner.
@theonlyzdog

@LadySutefu hardly any pet is an impulse buy. They all have their needs. Fish have their diets, cleaning, water temperatures and care. Rodents are different and may need different things or have different personality quircks. I dont know anything about rabbits. Lizards Need a definite good reading on and ferrets do too.

A well-socialized ferret won't bite harder than a light nip while playing. If a ferret bites hard enough to hurt, it is either very afraid, or needs to be trained that humans have sensitive skin. I've had six ferrets over the past 8 years and have never had problems with any of them biting.
@athamegirl

@ehelibuff73 Just an FYI, she's not an albino; she's a BEW, black eyed white (with pattern). True albinos have no pigment, so they would have no dark eyes (they would be pink from the reflection of blood off the back of the eye), and they wouldn't have coloured fur on the tail.
