Lynn was my ex in 2010-2013, she left the relationship and then domestic violence started 2013-2017 because she wanted me out of Deaf community, she tried to destroy my livelihood by getting me falsely arrested, falsely evicted and falsely fired to get me out of the picture in Frederick MD and Deaf community. How can she sit there and say those things?.... Lynn is talking about herself. True Colors came out for the ones who are appalled. I've been silenced for so long until I saw her video and that is exactly what Lynn did to me. Thank you Lynn for reminding me the pain and it made me strong. I am an amazing person. I am not the only one victimized by you. Your gatekeepers knows and who is dividing Deaf community?

Oh wow so sorry to hear about one woman trying to revenge on you by getting you shunned! This is damaging. Cults shun, they teach to stop speaking to even family who are shunned. Deaf Community has been a target of these cults, one being Jehovah Witnesses who do this, who isolate Deaf new members from their old friends who are not. I wonder if that is how Deaf began using that method to be gatekeepers who are Deaf enough? Also only 10% are Deaf of Deaf elites, 90% of us are of hearing parents and we are kept out of leadership roles. I read in my social work textbook just today how even more, nearly all, Black Deaf are of hearing parents, and so White Deaf elites are able to shun Black Deaf from leadership and that is why we see only the McCaskills elevated in Gally. Hmmm

This is a brilliant, necessary and useful contribution to the discussion of racism. And, you served to dismantle racism by exposing it through a thorough and accurate diagnosis when it reared its ugly head. Excellent job, Tar!

As when I catch the part, negative is required which is right, because negative can show what serious problem is but being just positive considering as “covering up their struggles”. Negative will speak itself up what they struggle make us understand how we can really help the blm community to support each other

Thanks, Tar for this video. I like your sign on break the wall. I'm deaf and white. All those years, I never knew and was taught by teacher about history. I was upset because they have story behind it. Like you said, Tar, that they sweep true story under the rug and lies about it. That's not very nice! Again, thank you for the sharing!

Sugarcoating on the raw situation is absolutely wrong. Making a burial for their voices and pretend that there is nothing going on. #sorrynotsorry, Lynn!! I am deeply appalled by your vlog. Tar makes a lot of valuable points in regards to Lynn's video. It is time for those people to speak up from their own hearts and we all have to LISTEN to them. ACKNOWLEDGE their frustration and pain. TAKE their words into our consideration, because like Lynn said at one point, we are all humans. Why should their voices be neglected if they are STILL humans like US!? NO, I do not approve Lynn's video and I absolutely APPROVE Tar's counter-vlog! DEFINITELY well said, Tar!!!

Not even gringo and str8 up first generation of Cuban-Deaf-American here as I have my own identity and minority ethnicities inner problems much like African Americans.... Shall I call you a black person? the brown person? You rather to be called African Americans? Half bred ? From my country there is no such thing as one kind of Black- otherwise, you're trying to "one size fits all" which is a form of self-suppression. as my limited English proficiency in needing of your clarifications. Tar emphasizing those punchline which becomes a trance to fall for BLM world. "You're required to listen" and got a piece of news for you- we are not but with a lot of understandings and love for the humanity - it is obviously a necessary action... Again not everyone are "mandatory" to follow your instruction otherwise the freedom of selective opinions is being oppressed to gain the favor of your movement. Kind of mind blogging to watch how well-respected Deaf POC individual calling out someone who is also well respected POC in the deaf community for a very long time among countless of students under her supervision. He didn't mention if he has or knows her in person and their relationship remains unclear. Tar Gill, one of Austin Grassrooter natives, obviously he got a lot of potentials as he is only 30ish, half black and half white. I have seen his feisty presence in many deaf community-based events every time I visited the town and he is visibly one of the well-respected individuals in Deaf social surroundings. Haven't gotten the opportunity to know him personally but a lot of my friends do and NOTHING scandalous about him. If y'all know her (Dr. Lynn from Gallaudet) personally she and her family escaped from terrible holocaust back in Germany. At during my studies at Gallaudet University, I has taken two or three courses under her. She's very proud of her ethnicity as Jewish and ONE of fearless and well respected LBGT Deaf leadership. The story of her Jewish root, many of her family relations was murdered by Nazis. She is, in fact, a great Deaf A.S.L. professor and she was a part of my inspiration for the teaching. Both certainly have so different views with good intentions of restoring human morals yet this have no end in a sight. She has grown slowly while Tar has grown so fast but both are no more or less right or wrong as both are POC and have to experience the same level of racism traumas among anyone promotes it. I am sorry but I think this bright dude let his evolving anger get the best of him as hers too. Both are actually good people and it is sad to how such accusation of racism only causes further damages in the small and already endangered Deaf community. So sorry, man. All shit matters.

All white people have privilege. Them being white gives them privilege. they may not have privilege in other areas, but they do being white. I am Deaf, but I also have privilege because I speak and read lips for the most part. This gives me privilege.
