I know very well that dream house and sunbather are far more remembered that this song on the sunbather album. But this one really does it for me. It has the raw beginning, a slow-paced middle that seems both nostalgic and victorious and the last climaxing, glorious part when you just wants to scream it all away. I really wish they do something more like this and I would like to be in a crowd such as this one.

Lets just face fucking facts...yes, yes this is hipster black metal. It is undeniably hipster black metal but who cares? Deafheaven rules and their sunbather album kicks the shit out of any alcest, agalloch, chelsea wolfe or any other BM record. Yes this is hipster BM. Idk why people get offended when its called hipster black metal. Thats exactly what this is. I mean have you seen the way the band dresses? Kerrys always rocking the super sweet pants with that highwater fold at the bottom, george rocks highwaters too and always wears classy shoes. He never wears regular everyday shoes and he occasionally wears long parkas and combat boots as well. The rest of the band also dresses in a similar fashion. I think its cool. Whatever you know? Deafheaven is beautiful.

Not sure about the "hipster black metal" description, more like post-rock-screamo with black metal vocals. If you like Sunbather, then check out the Swedish band *Suffocate For Fuck Sake* and their album "Blazing Fires...". It's on youtube. Similar music, but a bit more experimental.

The only thing I can't stand about this band are their fans. What I mean is they'll be like. "I love black metal. This is so awesome. Black metal is the shit!" No! To call Deafheaven BM is to say Nicki Minaj is an amazing artist. They are an extreme metal band, not BM. Although there are strains of BM DNA in their music, but not as a whole. Best lines from this song. I lay drunk on the concrete on the day of your birth To celebrate all that you are wroth Daddy issues much? Still a deep passage
