Having a nice ride home after a taco run. Came up to 87th and Vincennes Ave. This is a tough intersection with the left hand turn into a tight right hand turn under a bridge. I usually accelerate all the way through so I can catch the next light at Halsted. In my car I'm much faster because I'm not afraid of sliding if it's wet under the bridge, or being able to stop in an emergency. So, as usual, I make my left and start accelerating into the right hand turn under the bridge, saw there was no traffic in the turning lane that will cross me so I continued accelerating. I just make it through the light as it turned yellow, then began to slow to the speed limit. Checking my mirror I noticed the SUV coming up on me quickly, he must have ran the red light since I barely made it through. He continued to tailgate me to the stop sign and after. So I pulled over and let him pass. In the city people feel the need to tailgate, push into your lane, cut you off or think they're racing you. You hear me yell "Rookie" in the video. I'm yelling at myself for forgetting to cancel my turn signal.
